Very very well played today.  I'd say its the best performance of the season so far (even including the Man U game which a was good, but admittedly freak result).

Played with pace from the start, don't think we had a bad performance throughout the team.  Created a good few chances and looked solid in defence.  If it wasn't for a totally inept ref, we'd of won that.

So proud of the team and Nigel. True fighting spirit and again showing that only narrow margins are keeping us from winning games, in this case a laughable penalty decision.

We're not being outclassed.

Without a doubt deserved a win, the thing that impressed me the most was the teams character. Usually we would be playing well then go a goal down, and let the game fade away. Today was a complete performance at times we looked like a top four team. I've said it even during our bad run, we aren't playing as bad as the bottom side in the league and a few more performances like that and we will climb the table

Definitely... I wanted to shut my computer down and go and do something else. To stick at it how they did was fantastic.

I said it all through the barren run and I'll say it again: we just needed that win to boost the confidence. Those players proved themselves against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U that they could survive in this league and bad results against Burnley and Palace dented the confidence. But we're looking almost as good as we did as the beginning of the season and a couple of good performances at home could see us well in the mix.

I think Hammond's return helped no end as well and a standardly good performance from Mahrez and Schlupp meant we had a solid base from midfield (including James) and the flanks as well as the linking play from Nugent meant we could compete against an inconsistent Liverpool who are looking worryingly bad at the moment. However it was the fvcking ref that really cost us a golden 3 points today.

Still optimistic though and it shows again that even though he does have the occasional wobbly period that Pearson has a team that can compete, even though I would like to see a couple implementations over January it should be more about reinforcing the spine than some kind of complete overhaul.

Overall today a great team performance and that winning spirit is certainly back with the team, shame about the ref but it's not like we can do much so on to this Saturday, more of the same please!

2 come back from 2 nil down at Anfield after two terrible decisions takes some kind of character and we could have gone on to win it.

Our performances have been good for the majority of the games we have played, we are only losing by a goal and haven't been thumped once this season.

I think we have enough in us to stay up but we are going to miss Marhez and Schluup a lot, Schluup has improved drastically over the last 5 games and is looking a solid left winger and can hit a ball.

Its starting to look positive again we just need to keep playing how we have today, in reality we should have all 3 points.

Spot on.

Hammond was super today. Never thought I would say that. Brining on cambiasso at the end was a good move. Saved a certain goal with a header at the back last minute.

Think a win against Newcastle would be vital in keeping this spirit going now. Don't want wholesale changes, let's get on a run and build momentum.
