I’m sure I’ve seen this but has anyone used the same booking reference for a PCR test more than once on the passenger locator form?

Used the same one three times now.

If you want to be really ultra cautious, change one of the digits

Remember, in the extremely unlikely chance it gets picked up, in order to fine you they have to prove you haven't bought one. You don't have to prove nada

Haha yes let us know, I'm planning on doing the same if my children make it out for half term week. I'm not actually that hopeful they will get here though, my daughter had Covid a couple of weeks ago so I'm guessing she'll still test positive on her pcr at East Midlands :(

Will do!

she’ll be fine if it was two weeks ago…. Only took me 5 days to test negative after my PCR confirmed I had  it

I booked a cheap flight to Tokyo assuming they'd definitely open the country to tourists again by 2022 once the Olympics were out of the way but now I'm not so sure  :sweating:

I can get them refunded for any reason anyway so it's not hugely important.

Sent my PCR test off on Day 1 after landing, here we are on day 4 and haven't heard a thing yet. Private PCR testing through some of these companies is a hell of a lot worse than through the usual channels.

I've said this before, but I'm convinced it's just a money making exercise. Nobody cares about the results, but you have no choice but to buy a test.

Thanks, was that a lateral flow though? I've read you can test positive on a PCR for up to 90 days after infection

If they really cared, the tests would be put through normal testing labs, not private ones. And you're spot on, this is a money making thing

Apparently so 🙁 I've told her to tell the people testing her her reason for traveling, cry, and keep her fingers crossed 😂

I have a friend who put a previously used reference on the locator form when coming home from a holiday. Nobody checked that and nobody followed up why the day two test wasn't taken.

As Deb said, lots of these things are a money making exercise.

Of course if the locator form doesn't accept the number you can always try changing a digit, as Panini said, or legally purchase a day 2 test, not that they actually chase up the results on that.

Yes. My mates wife works for the NHS bother their daughters caught covid and when they had completed their isolation they took the youngest a PCR which still came back positive so they contacted health England and got told the same thing it can still show as positive for 90 days. To ignore it and send her back school and they could go back work.

Are they doing the randox East Mids one?

Just sixth sense, but when I did one early this summer with the kids, the staff looked as if they were keen to help and had no vested interest in getting a positive. In fact, the vibe I felt Randox were there to facilitate you getting abroad rather than prevent. Be interesting to see how many positives randox have ever produced (though I'm.not trying to dissuade them!)

Thanks Milo ...  yes we are off round the Med from Southampton ...   probably our last cruise but we enjoyed going as a foursome with another couple and decided to give it another go.  Best cruise for me was round the Baltic when you visit many different countries ..  St Petersburg was amazing.
