Leicester Lass

Vardy a wanted man.

There is distinct chance that we could be relegated - we are 1 of 7 teams trying to avoid it if we're honest, WBA being another. It would be somewhat ironic if Vardy's goals kept WBA up and we went down, being left with only Nugent and possibly Ulloa as our two strikers in the Championship (As Kramaric and any other high profile attacker would have a release clause and Wood is likely to go as well in the transfer window). £7 mil is not a bad price, but should we be relegated, we know Vardy is very good at this level and could be a key player getting us straight back up. If we wait until the Summer, Pulis may shift his target elsewhere, Summer prices aren't as inflated and if we are still in the Prem, would we be looking for better players for our second season.

It's a difficult one, but £7 mil is tempting on current performances.

I'd let him go for 7 and that money can go towards a good midfielder he's obviously still looking for another finisher and a defender so that cash will have to come from the coffers but 7 would be a tidy sum on a player that realistically won't get in our team in the near future

It would be absolutely typical Leicester for him to go and bang them in left right and centre for West Brom but having watched his performances this season I just don't see it happening even there. His goals (or lack of them) haven't been keeping us up so what makes everyone think his goals will at West Brom?

In an ideal scenario, he gets that slice of luck, he starts scoring again and we stay up sending Mourinho (sorry, Pulis) and WBA down. I'm just not feeling it though. I don't think he's playing below his best, I just think his best isn't good enough. You limit his space and he's clueless.

I like Vardy even though he's struggling like many of our players at this level but I'd have taken 5 Mill if we were able to use that sum and possibly a bit more to pick up an improvement on him.

IMO, we are not in a position to wait these players out if we have any hopes of staying up.

sorry but for that money you have to let him go.

if we go down then nuge and ulloa can do a job easy if krameric goes

tbh in the 20 mins krameric came on you could tell he has the positional sense and touch much better than vardy has or is likey to have

If there's a genuine target in which to re-invest the money then we're mad turning down £5 million.

Does anyone genuinely believe that Vardy will make the difference for either us or West Brom this season?

As others have said, with Nugent and Ulloa - serial performers in the Championship - in the squad, as well as (at the moment) Wood who has a significantly better record than Vardy, do we even need him next season if we go down? I think we could probably do with him, but there's every chance we could find an energetic centre forward from the lower leagues who could do a similar job for a darn sight less than £7 million.

Dons tin hat....

I think he is useful. Vardy gives us pace up front which we don t get from ulloa and nugent. Agreed 7m is a lot of money but would have to get a replacement. Do people think we could really pick someone up who could have the impact we need for this money?

If we have agreed a deal for the Okazaki then definitely get rid for £5m. Anyone willing to pay that money for Vardy needs a white coat and a dr.

He was the 2nd best striker in the division last season, he was unstoppable at times. Although I'm questioning if he'll make it at PL level due to his chronic lack of confidence, £7 million is not the going rate for what he's done the past season. If they throw in Craig Dawson and £7 million then I'd twist.

Pulis just said I don't really want to let any go I'm just interested in bringing them in and I'd like someone out wide with pace , ooh it gonna cost you Tony son !

I don't see him as a striker at this level but playing on the wing is more suited to him. Shame if he left because he has a lot to offer still, but 7 mil is a good offer.

NP will never sell him, wouldn't be surprised to see him moved into midfield next so that Albrigton can play, then when he's crap there he will probably put him in goal, will never drop him though ;)

I'd take 5 million now. I wouldn't have at the start of the season, but Vardy has not scored enough goals.

Take the 5, get Kramaric playing and use the 5 on a winger. We'd get McManaman for 5 plus change
