Leicester Lass

Vardy a wanted man.

5M lol if Ross Mccormack is worth 11M then Vardy is worth 20M, especially to a relegation rival. I know the figure I suggested seems ludicrous but in this market, under these circumstances it is a reasonable price. After all, English players are massively overpriced regardless of ability or lack of it.

Ah wait, wait, you missed one minor detail....he's being sold by Leicester, automatically decreasing his market price by 80% and we can through in one of our hot prospects in the deal for free, now that's a bargain done the Leicester City way!

As I've pointed out earlier in this thread, comparisons to players like McCormack/Rhodes etc... have been made redundant by Vardy's poor form in the Premier League at the age of 28. A lot of the money these clubs throw at players like those is down to their potential to succeed in the top flight - something Vardy had in the summer and something that he does still have - but nowhere near as much as he did six months ago for example.

It's a shame he was wasted in non-league for so long because he was far, far better than that and it's probably given him a smaller crack at this league than his ability deserves.

Vardy might just be another Harry Kane, hidden talent who just needs sometime to adjust.Kane has age on his side, but there has been many players who started careers late and had a good 4-5yrs in the top flight.

Also good examples are too be found with returning injured players, often needing a season to reach the potential, before injury. Some internationals, some just top flight players.Kramaric might give him that time, or a slight change to adopt Kramaric into the team, might open a different platform for him.Thats why at present we should hold onto our squad players.

We have let some youngsters go, we have 3-4 players out because of various reasons.

Keeping hold of our players until season end wont break the bank.

Some fans forget we need players on the bench aswell, plus backup. Vardy/Wood/Lawrence still have a roll to play in the 1st 14,with some luck top 12.That gives them a target to fight for.

In the world?

His raw pace and aggression, would give any defence trouble if he used it more intelligently. Even in games when he's been quiet, he still is a nightmare for defenders, constantly closing down, using his pace to stretch defences...etc. For me he'd be most effective on the left of a 4-3-3.

Unless some kind of Andy Caroll situation arises where WBA get loads for Berahinho and so we take a huge chunk for Vardy then it just won't happen. Same with us and Ings, why sell to a relagation rival? We don't need the £5m.

Don't we?

If we've got an £8mil forward lined up (and I'm sorry, Okazaki is better than Vardy) then maybe we might do.

I thought Saturday was the perfect scenario for Vardy and he didn't even look like scoring. There's still time yet and I'd be sad to see him go but weighing it up, I'd cash in and buy Okazaki.

Bournemouth Fans think they have a chance of getting Vardy lol

If Krammy hits the ground running and Ulloa and Nuge are doing well off the bench then I wouldn't be adverse to loaning him out towards the end of the season.

If it was needed to imprpve other areas then fair enough. All noises so far are that the money is there to spend without selling.

The problem is he needs to use it in conjunction with the ball. He can run fast but doesn't seem able to take the ball with him. He just gives the ball away at the moment. His first touch wasn't good enough last season, but he got away with it, now against better players it still isn't good enough.

I wouldn't sell unless we have a better similar option and that isn't looking likely at the moment. And we will need him next season if we are in the Championship.

I want to keep him, but if 5 mill is genuinely on the table id take it.

What happened to him being the next best thing, England squad blah blah blah
