BrummieFOX Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Think you're in the wrong thread, pal. There's an animal rights thread for all the vegan bisexuals somewhere. Haha, possibly. Though I can't imagine a blender is much use for a Vegan.
ealingfox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Surely potatoes don't count? Or we'd all just get through our 5 a day early doors by eating a whole pack of oven chips for brek.
separator Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Surely potatoes don't count? Or we'd all just get through our 5 a day early doors by eating a whole pack of oven chips for brek. You can always have some Russian vodka if you don't fancy chips.
Carl the Llama Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 If we're going that route, can we count hops?
Carl the Llama Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 And what about smoked foliage? I'm definitely getting my 5 a day if those 2 count.
separator Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Apparently you get about 10 litres of apple juice from approx 15-20 kg of apples according to a cider making website I've just read. Surely a piss-up with a few pints of Scrumpy will get you your 5 a day.
AoWW Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 You can always have some Russian vodka if you don't fancy chips. So with a fruit-infused vodka for breakfast I must be well on-track for my 5-a-day.
Guest MattP Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Do you ever have soup Matt or is it just for poor people? If I'm eating out sometimes as a starter to dip my bread in, I leave it after that though.
sphericalfox Posted 15 January 2015 Posted 15 January 2015 If I'm eating out sometimes as a starter to dip my bread in, I leave it after that though. You dirty mucker!
filbertway Posted 15 January 2015 Posted 15 January 2015 Yeah he spit that out and head straight for the eggs.
Bluefoxtim Posted 15 January 2015 Posted 15 January 2015 So from MattP never having eaten a vegetable in his life, we find out he has potatoes (yes these count!), onions and brocolli

This morning I couldnt have eaten spinach kale cucumber blueberries and a banana unless I had one. well I could but I would of had to cook the veg and eat it on a plate together which is mental. instead took me about 5 mins and had it all raw. It just whizzes it to a pulp but you dont lose the fibre etc.

Guest MattP Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 So from MattP never having eaten a vegetable in his life, we find out he has potatoes (yes these count!), onions and brocolli Just potatoes. I've not eaten onions or broccoli for 20 years.
Raj Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 YOu really aint had an onion in 20 years???Fook me!
walkerleeds Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Had roasted carrots for the first time the other, as if I've been missing out on them all my life, so nice.
JonnyBoy Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I don't get why people don't just eat fruit and vegetables? You lose loads of the good stuff when you juice fruit as well. Obviously eating fruit instead of blending it is going to fill you up more than drinking it as well. If you want more veg in your diet, maybe stick more vegetables on your plate. There are plenty of options out there for everyone. I have leeks, broccoli or runner beans on my plate almost every day. No you don't lose all the good stuff. Exactly, monotonous eating same veg every day? I think the bullet is a cracking idea for getting lots of green veg in such as spinach. You can use it for smoothies, protein shakes, alcoholic beverages, soups etc
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Rather spend the nutri bullet money on my girlfriend and or my life.
JonnyBoy Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Rather spend the nutri bullet money on my girlfriend and or my life. Alright, whipped
AoWW Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Seriously considering getting a Nutribullet - for those of you who've got one, what fruits/veg can't you put in them or what prep do you need to do beforehand? Are they easy to clean? Any cons? Do you get 2 'cups/glasses' with it, or just the one... and do they then seal?... I'd quite like to be able to take one to work with me. Basically, I'm lazy and don't want to spend time peeling, cutting, cleaning, etc - some other machines seem to have a list of fruit/veg you can't use in it, or at least not without lots of prep - which seems to defeat the object.
