Guest bss9401 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 I am becoming more impressed with Neil Lennon. It was hard to judge at Celtic but I like the way he has set up Bolton. He seems to be a good motivator and is able to make clever changes. A good job so far at Bolton in unenviable circumstances.
Captain... Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Wes is deployed as emergency striker and goes up front when we're looking for a late goal.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Paul Konchesky prob as left footers are more cultured and he could curl some in the top corner. He is also capable of volleys like we saw this season and long range worldies as we saw the other season, oh and penalties. He is also capable of a nice assist. He makes great coffee too.
johnny the fox Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Think Emile was really great as a pundit tonight
lgfualol Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 De Laet if he can finish like he did vs Derby that time.
artursteppe Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Watching the Bolton vs Liverpool game and, for some reason, Neil Lennon has decided to play Matt Mills up front in the absence of Emile Heskey. Just wondering, should we be out of available strikers (Ulloa, Kramaric, Nugent, Vardy and Wood), who would we play in similar circumstances? Personally think i'd play Andy King, with him being sound on the ball and a very good finisher. Thoughts? What? What is this, a forum for drivel. I am so embarrassed.

The Railway Man Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Mahrez would probably have to go there. Watching a centre back up front tonight showed how much the game has changed, you can;t get away with it now and Mills looked embarrassed at times.
red5 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 As it is now, wes is the best option, with liam or upson in the back. It was mine and Brian's idea to put walshy up front when he came back from injury, as the defence was doing ok without him.
Fox42 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I remember not too long ago Greg Halford playing the striker's role for Forest and he was pretty decent, momentarily...
Lambert09 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Wes is actually not bad in the final 3rd... well unless he's supposed to score from a set piece/
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 What? What is this, a forum for drivel. I am so embarrassed. Drivel! The irony? Mr Drivel expert.pmsl

Nod.E Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Moore was a striker in his youth days at Barrow Town. If he can score against me, he's capable of bagging against any Premier League keeper. You heard it here first.
Jace Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Theres plenty of choices to be fair, I thought Cambiasso was fantastic a couple of months ago up there shown real quality and lessens the chances of him scoring another OG
dpjfox Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Knocky has been tried there before, but if were goig to play "hoofball" then Huth
Stadt Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 A winger up front doesn't automatically make them a false 9
LAprice_ Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 So as this is all hypothetical, here's my starting 11 with all the players playing out of position; what do you think? Matty James Andy King Chris Wood Leo Ulloa Anthony Knockaert Wes Morgan Marcin Wasilewski Matt Upson Ritchie De Laet Kasper Schmeichel Robert Huth Aside from James and (probably) Schmeichel, this team could probably do okay against a league 1 side. Andy King can play anywhere and don't underestimate Knockaert at left-back, he loves a slide tackle. As for Wes on the right wing, he enjoys throwing in a few step-overs. On a serious note; in recent pre-seasons, Hopper has played at CB and Gallagher has played at RB and we all know that Schmeichel prefers attacking crosses rather than defending them...
