Happy Fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 These are the games in my opinion we have to win or should be winning if we are to stand any chance of surviving. Hull (h) West Bromich Albion (a) Burnley (a) Sunderland (a) QPR (h) Games that we could pick up a draw in. Everton (a) Swansea (h) Newcastle (h) The other remaining fixtures of the season that we aren't likely to win: Manchester City (a), Spurs (a), West Ham (H), Southampton (h), Chelsea (h) Have to hope that 35 points and our goal difference will be enough to get 17th place.
Jon the Hat Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 We will lose at least one of those and probably draw another. That means we will need to win one of the others against the odds, probably two.
Mark_w Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Win any 5 and we've got a decent chance, avoiding defeat against QPR, Hull and Burnley would certainly help. But I really don't care who we beat as long as we stay up, we're capable of getting something pretty much anywhere if we play to our absolute best and the opposition don't have their best game.
kingcarr21 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I think 35 would be enough. Cant see Villa getting past 30 points. Cant believe they've only scored 12 goals so far . There completely shot and void of confidence.
kingcarr21 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Imagine if it goes to the final game against QPR. Foxestalk would go into absolute meltdown
davieG Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I think 35 would be enough. Cant see Villa getting past 30 points. Cant believe they've only scored 12 goals so far . There completely shot and void of confidence. Knowing us they'll beat us in the Cup scoring 2+ goals and then go on a run.
kingcarr21 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Knowing us they'll beat us in the Cup scoring 2+ goals and then go on a run. Typical Leicester wouldnt surprise me one bit
bovril Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I'm just holding out for a cup run. I've never seen us in a semi final.

I think you know full well it wont work out like that.
cc_star Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I don't buy must-win, but it's coming to the time that they are must-win Beating Hull & Villa in the league this year gives us cause for hope, but it will be tough
Stoopid Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I'm just holding out for a cup run. I've never seen us in a semi final. Careful What you wish for mate. Still haven't got over losing the Final in 69...still haunted by Andy Lochhead's miss...
Burbage Fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I thought that when we were promoted after 10 years away games like Burnley, WBA, Sunderland, Stoke and Crystal Palace were must wins and we got the grand total of erm... 2 points from these with this arrogant clown in charge we are doomed.. I hope not but given results we are.
sly1 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 All the fun of fair might be last game against qpr the decider
Benguin Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I am certain we will stay up. I know it sounds ridiculous given our situation but in still confident. Everton 3pts Man City 0pts Hull 3 pts Tottenham 1 pts West brom 1 pts Sunderland 3 pts Burnley 3 pts West game 0 pts Newcastle 3 pts Southampton 1 pts Swansea 3 pts Chelsea 0 pts QPR 3 pts 16th - leicester 41 points
Matt Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Games against teams that are in and around us, teams who are consider the 'lesser' teams, that we are competing against relegation with are all must win games, no matter how early or late in the season they are. We've failed to do this on numerous occasions this season, thank god we had a good, unexpected start against some of the bigger teams or we'd have been relegated already.

Oh you missed those off to suit your anti-NP rant (just like I missed off Palace to suit my counter) Being selective doesn't do anyone any favours
Bert Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Every game is must win. The more we fail to lose just makes the task even harder.
Stoopid Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Mid - February...5pts adrift...doom & gloom, though doing ok in the Cup...suddenly we find an experienced defender and a small sparky striker...goals fly in, we win a few & finish safe. Older fans will remember Blockley & Chris Garland - It's never as bad as you think. This team WILL survive.
Stevosevic Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 The big games such as Burnley, WBA, Palace and Sunderland at home were just as important as the ones we still have to come. We mucked those up royally and have no confidence we will do anything different in the games remaining. Down imo.
Burbage Fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 6 points out of 6 Vs Hull & Villa this year.... Oh you missed those off to suit your anti-NP rant (just like I missed off Palace to suit my counter) Being selective doesn't do anyone any favours But it assists my Anti NP agenda..
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Everton 0pts Man City 0pts Hull 3 pts Tottenham 0 pts West brom 1 pts Sunderland 3 pts Burnley 3 pts West Ham 1 pts Newcastle 3 pts Southampton 1 pts Swansea 1 pts Chelsea 0 pts QPR 3 pts Make that 36 pts. Generous because can't see us doubling our tally and more
veezeeblue Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Current projections based on Win/Draw% of teams leave target at 32pts after gameweek 25 Burnley QPR Hull all trending to less than 32pts Burnley still to play Manu away tonight- target ups to 34 pts if they win - which I doubt very much Thats 5 wins or equivalent required at the mo, #keepthefaith
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I can't help but think We will stay up. It will be by the skin of our teeth but we will stay up.
RowlattsFox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 The problem is by the time we play man city and have a better run of fixtures we could be 8 or 9 points adrift. We are probably more likely to beat your swanseas, newcastles and West Ham as they have nothing juch to play for. At some point we are going to have to put 3 wins together to stand a chance. Think it's unikely we stay up from here.
Oldblueyes Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Bovril, good cup runs and relegation seem to go hand in hand at Leicester in the past.
