As for Simpson with that needless foul at the end when we're chasing the game! The frustration levels peaked to a maximum. I could happily have put my Mum's coffee table through her window and not felt guilty.

Totally agree. That act of utter amateurism cost us possession and time when we were actually looking a little more positive having just scored.

That alone should cost Simpson his place never mind the rest of his dire performance.

Wes Morgan was awful!! He just hoofs the ball and goes to ground way too easy! We really need to stick to one starting line up and provide some consistency!

Let's not beat around the bush here, that was horrific to watch.

Just when we look like showing signs of improvement at Arsenal we put on a performance like THAT. Honestly, where do you start with assessing it?

A televised game against one of your relegation rivals in a game where you're realistically in touching distance of Wembley and you've got the chance to give the fans a much needed boost going into these final games and that is what they have to offer? Flat, slow, hopeless football with no real signs of looking like even wanting to win it or even looking like keeping the ball for more than 3 or 4 passes if we're being generous.

Mahrez, Schlupp, Cambiasso.. non existent. They're the key players to us having any chance of winning games.

Was, arguably our only consistent player being subbed over Morgan AGAIN.

I found it that unbearable I didn't even flinch when Kram scored. If anything it made me angrier, more frustrated. That's where he should have been from the off, not looking for the ball from deep.

That was pathetic today, absolutely pathetic. It doesn't do anything to suggest we have any chance of staying up whatsoever.

Credit to those who went, we/they deserve much, much better.

Agree with most your post but got to admit I think Was were pretty poor today, gave the ball away a lot, 2nd to the ball and lost various headers. Not saying Wes was much better as he didn't have the best of games.

How can City scoring a goal make you more angrier? I don't think it was by choice that Kramaric was playing so deep, I'm sure he would prefer to be playing in opposition half and be providided chance all game. End of the day we set ourselves way to deep and only forced him to come deep to get the ball- I'm sure if he was just standing on the half way line all game waiting for a break everyone would be slating him for being lazy

We need a defender who can attack, not a defender who can't defend and doesn't attack.

Glad some others agree with Simpson's idiocy with that final display. Other players would have been watching that laughing their faces off, complete joke.

Walked out of the ground very angry. The players have apply themselves better than that. I got so sick of seeing us over hit, misplace and miscontrol short passes and then watch us resort to lumping it aimlessly.

Pearson should've made substitutions to try and affect the game but he isn't who I blame most.

Who are you blaming then?

Why wouldn't you blame Pearson, it was his team selection, his tactics and his decision not to use all 3 subs to try and effect the game more?

The players. I don't think that's unclear in my post you know.

Like I said, why wouldn't it be Pearson you blame the most?

As I said, it was his tactics and his team selection. Yes the players didn't perform but it is the managers job to change that! Motivate the team, change the style of play, replace any one who is under performing/injured etc

I can't remember having felt so flat after a Leicester goal. Like almost everyone around me, I just greeted the Kramaric goal with silence. Abject performance, strange tactics, strange substitution to bring Was off and lack of two further substitutions was astonishing.

Every time Albrighton has come on he's looked a natural quality winger and made an impact, especially so when we turned it around against Spurs. Pearson had him out of the dugout today and warming up on 80 mins which I thought might already be too late. But then to see him go back to the dugout and sit back down for the remainder of the game...??? I don't understand what goes through Pearson's head sometimes.

The lack of quality, intensity and overall drive was there for all to see 2nd half. Yet again we've allowed a crap Villa side to score two simple goals against us whilst carrying zero threat until going behind.

They've all let us down badly today with only a couple of exceptions.

I watched the game on iPlayer. First time I've ever actually fallen asleep watching one of our games. Fast forwarded large patches of the second half too. One of the worst ever performances in our history.

Pearson and his team are committing crimes against football on a daily basis.

been villa today what  I dont understand is when we play a side in the bottom 3 with about the same quality as we have pearson plays one up front first half city edged it should have gone in 1-0 up 2nd half never in it at least we will be able to go villa again next season in the championship as for pearson he should have sacked 10 games ago after the incident with the fan at the Liverpool game

The tide is turning for Pearson. There was alot of booing and venom in the air towards him at the end.

Really missed a chance today to get at VIlla.

Instead completely played into the new managers syndrome.

Villa are crap but we were pants.

Only Kramaric come come away from that with any positives, the rest were shite.

When your losing too, fans just want to see the manager try something,it dont matter if it works or not but just try something.

Really dont know what Albrighton must be thinking if he cant even get minutes on a day like today.

Another frustrating defeat...really wish in a way we would get mullered then atleast we dont have to keep holding onto that little bit of belief.

We're crap.

Is Lenny a tactical genius then?

Let's see...

1/ I very much doubt whether Neil Lennon would have failed to act for 65 minutes, when it was obvious after 5 mins that our £9m striker was marooned and starved of service....

2/ ...and then taken off the one player that really looked solid and arguably put in one of the strongest performances of the day...

3/ ...instead of Wes Morgan who shouldn't even be starting based on his utterly shite form since October...

4/ ...introducing Ulloa who should have started just behind Krameric in the first place...

5/ ...and failed to introduce Albrighton (for the uncharacteristcally ineffectual Mahrez) - having utterly destroyed his old club only a month ago...

Lenny may not be a tactical genius no...but it certainly bests our resident tactical ****wit. Nigel Pearson makes Bryan Hamilton look like Matt Busby.

I couldn't get back on the M6 quick enough.

One of the few times this season we've got exactly what we've deserved.

Absolutely no effort applied. Frustrating because we've missed out on an absolute massive chance of a Wembley fixture.

Schwarzer absolutely has to be dropped now. A mistake a game at this level isn't nearly good enough.

Were you appalled by the team selection? I wasn't. After the performance at Arsenal I think Pearson had very good reason to think that the team he put out was the best eleven to win the game - most people seemed to agree at 12:00

The players should not allow their performance to drop by that amount against a lesser team - they did, and as a result I think you have to hold them most responsible.

Both teams deserved to lose. What an absolute shower of shite.

Ulloa needs to find a new job because he's not a football player. What is the point of him?

Think that's harsh. He held the ball up well when he came on. He should have started alongside Kramaric but yet again we start with one up front ffs.

Let me just say this, people stick up for Pearson in the past after a defeat and normally they always say "despite the loss, it was a good performance" okay fair enough it was a good performance but performances are going to keep you up. It's goals and results! Plus other fans keep dwelling on the past "Oh he took us up last season with 100 points" okay that was good but that was last season in the championship, Burnley came up with us last season and there four points better off than us and spent alot less than Leicester.

Love this "why change manager for the sake of it" nonsense. Bottom of the league. Clueless tactically, woeful reliance on poor players. Take the better defender off and we are 2-0 down before you know it. Strikers on the wing and midfield. He needs to go so we can at least try to save our season. Why wait until the middle of next season. He will blame Kramaric, Mahrez and others leaving for the continued failure.
