Corky Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 We didn't make Villa look good, it was two appalling teams with two great goals and a keeping error. Both these sides will struggle to stay up.
RowlattsFox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Fans begging for Nigel to change it to a 442. We change and concede. "Oh well done Nigel you ****ing idiot, blah blah blah". You got what you wanted you BinHead. But again. Leicester Fan Logic people have questioned who was taken off, rather than the sub itself. We were shocking the first 15 mins of the second half so had to do something, what would you have done?
Callabinho Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 It was two poor teams today, we were better defensively but offered nothing coming forward, once Was went off that seemed to be that, it opened the game up and Villa had the pace to catch us out. We've lost to a side in dreadful form today, yes it isn't a league game but it's another game lost. As far as I'm concerned we're relegated, so if like to see a bit of fight and passion, and possibly stop the retarded decisions like making one ****ing substitute.
sylofox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Just been sat here wondering why we kept trying to play head tennis second half (did not see the first half) Then it came to me. We could not manage 3 passes in a row on the fvcking ground. If we do keep Nige I do not see many of this squad remaining. Hamer and Albrighton will be slapping in transfer request asap followed by a few more.
Torten Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Bradford beating Sunderland makes this defeat even more bitter
LibertyFox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 We gave the ball away so so many times. The lack of even basic quality on the ball was dire. The performance was so woeful that Kramarić's goal wa met with stunned silence. This season started with such high hopes and is fast disappearing into nothing. So so disappointed...
5waller5 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 people have questioned who was taken off, rather than the sub itself. We were shocking the first 15 mins of the second half so had to do something, what would you have done? Nothing of course ...... It's the NP school of management and school of defending his management. Do nothing, get narrowly defeated and moan about fine margins.
Stoopid Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Gutless, clueless, embarrassing...overrun in midfield by a poor side.who you could see growing in confidence as the game wore on. A 5-man defence against a team that hardly scores? Gives them the initiative. Strange substitute policy, tho a lovely header from Kram almost got us back in ... Feel badly let down.
bovril Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Just been sat here wondering why we kept trying to play head tennis second half (did not see the first half) Then it came to me. We could not manage 3 passes in a row on the fvcking ground. At times it was like watching a clip of an FA Cup tie from the 70s. It's ridiculous for a team at this level to resort to that so often.
ronnup Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 If ever there was a game for Albrighton to play it was today. Riyad did nothing and the lad returns to his old club raring to prove a point and not even a cameo. ****ing stubborn pearson is probably trying to prove that he doesn't make squad decisons based on sentimental side stories by sometimes pyschology can give you an edge. Genuinely feel for Marc. He's a seriously talented player and doesn't get enough chances for me. Regarding today, it was inevitable wasn't it? New manager, at home, released frustration? But the sickener is the chances we haven't taken again. We also didn't make the most of the formation with dumpling and Konch. Should've had Schlup and De Laet at wing backs and Albrighton and Mahrez further on. Why not go for it?
bovril Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 On the plus side it looks like if you give Kramaric a half chance he'll more often than not take it. We have to play Nugent up front with him from Everton onwards and give him service.
Callabinho Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 We can debate and argue all we like, but it's probably as simple as we're shit.
ronnup Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 We can debate and argue all we like, but it's probably as simple as we're shit. Frustratingly, I think it's the exact opposite that drives me mad. I don't think we are shit and at times we show it.
GingerrrFox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 people have questioned who was taken off, rather than the sub itself. We were shocking the first 15 mins of the second half so had to do something, what would you have done? Myself I would have taken Konchesky off moved Schlupp to left wing back and put Kramaric in the 2 playing behind Ulloa with Mahrez and kept the 5 at the back. People ask for 442 and he changes it and we concede what more do they want? He took a centre back off. You may not agree with which 1 he took off but Morgan is his captain and the likelihood is we still would have conceded that goal because Bacuna found a pocket of space that wasn't there when we had 3 centre backs.
Spudulike Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Watched it on telly and couldn't believe the amateur show they put on. Crap commentary, crap co-commentry, crap studio assessments, Heskey (wtf) and how many times did they show Sherwood in the stand ffs. The BBC at its finest.
smudger63 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Such a disappointment, losing against an extremely poor Villa side, and with it the potential of a wembley appearance at the very least. Where do i start! I had a feeling he would stick with 5 at the back, after Arsenal, but there are some games when you can afford to be braver and more on the front foot, and take the game to the opposition, and today was one of those games. Also where was the urgency, and the go forward tempo to our game. At Arsenal we broke at pace, today we stopped turned, and played the ball backwards and sidewards far too often. Why the hell he took Was off, ahead of Calamity Morgan, just belies belief! Was has looked our best defender for weeks, while Morgan has been like an accident waiting to happen, and understandably looks short off confidence, and what Albrighton has got to do to get on the pitch, god only knows! To be fair neither Schlupp or Mahrez were very good today, and he could, (should) have brought Albrighton on for one of them. I thought James had a decent game, but Cambiasso, apart from the odd flash, was poor in my opinion, As for Schwarzer, that`s three goals he could take some blame for now, and when we consider that Hamer had actually done nothing wrong, and was dropped, i think this is yet another thing Pearson has got badly wrong. Today was played out on national tv, and i thought we were embarrassingly poor. Should Pearson go? Well i`ve said before he should have gone before christmas, and that it`s all to late now anyway, but now i`ve finally had enough, and we should get rid, and bring someone in, who will then have a few weeks to work with the players, work on the way he wants them to play next season, and to see which players want to be a part of that.

So fvcking what that Morgan is his captain? Does it make him less crappy, or what? He is a Holy Untouchable Armband Bearer? Don't get that logic. Pearson took off Wasyl, who didn't deserve it and left on the pitch weak Morgan. sorry dude, shitty decision is just that. A shitty decision.
Steve Earle Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 That was just awful. We even brought Cambiasso down to our level. How can we expect to do anything though when we keep selecting players who treat the ball like it's a live grenade? Simpson, Was, Wes, Konch & Schlupp have no idea what to with the spherical object we are compelled by the rules of the game to play with....
Bettsj2 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Please, please, please can we sack him now? What more does he need to do to prove he's not up to it?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Scrambling for positives, James was great and Upson very composed. Have a feeling he and Huth will do us no end of good but I think some pride needs to be swallowed and Nige has to accept that Wes is bang out of form and for the good of the team needs benching. Huth, Upson and Was is not a terrible back three if we are to continue with a trio of centre halves.

Agree with pretty much all of that except the last few lines.
danfox76 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 first half i thought we were the better team, then half-time came..wtf happened... i'd forgive anyone for thinking pearson had told the players to give the ball away as much as possible, and if they (villa) have not scored with 20 mins to go i'll take a defender off to make it easier for them.
GingerrrFox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 So fvcking what that Morgan is his captain? Does it make him less crappy, or what? He is a Holy Untouchable Armband Bearer? Don't get that logic. Pearson took off Wasyl, who didn't deserve it and left on the pitch weak Morgan. sorry dude, shitty decision is just that. A shitty decision. He took Morgan off against Arsenal so it shows he's not untouchable. We still would have conceded that first goal with Wasilewski on the pitch instead of Morgan, Bacuna found space where before the change we would have had the right sided centre back. That's the risk you take when you go 442 and try to win the game. People were asking Pearson to go 442 and he did and conceded, clearly damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Leicesterpool Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Tactics again were poor, playing five at the back against Villa was pointless considering they don't score many, when Nigel did change to a four he took Wasilewski off!. I don't know performance wise first half, Leicester looked decent but not fantastic, second half pretty poor yeah Leicester did score but it was when they caught Villa napping and a little too late. Only making one sub was surprising, considering Leicester had both Albrighton & Nugent on the bench, plus I thought today would have been a good opportunity to have played Knockaert.
smudger63 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Really solid first half. Gave them no opportunities, a decent away performance. 2nd half we gambled on trying to get a goal but were unfortunately outscored. Not our finest performance but it doesn't matter, plenty of positives to take back to the league. It bloody matters to me, and all we have to look forward to now is waiting for our inevitable relegation!
