shade Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Burton Albion at home, april 2028, we'll have won three cups and got in to the champions league before nigel went to manage england.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 It will go to the last game and we will stay up beating QPR!! I have a feeling it might go down to wire but on goal difference, eg. We can stay up if we win by 3 goals. 3-0 up at 88 minutes, then Joey Barton scores after 4 agonising minutes of injury time and seals our fate and gives us yet another reason to hate him
Dawko Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 May have to beat Chelsea just to leave it in our own hands for the last 4 games
BigWesMorgan Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Dorchester United - 2025 (They got good)
splinterdream Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Didn't Southampton send us down to League 1?
shailen Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Didn't Southampton send us down to League 1? Pearson ironically kept them up and we went down instead.
Tuna Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Pearson ironically kept them up and we went down instead. We sent ourselves down, had we beaten Stoke Coventry who lost 5-0 on the day I think would have gone.
shailen Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Why is it a certainty that we are going to get relegated this season. Okay we are in a bad position, but it is more or less recoverable and in our own hands since we play most teams directly above us
Matt Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 We sent ourselves down, had we beaten Stoke Coventry who lost 5-0 on the day I think would have gone. Don't be stupid, Stoke sent us down, simple as that. Forget how shit we were that season, it came down to 1 game and Stoke didn't let us win it the bloody cheeky bastards, I couldn't believe they dared to do so! They sent us down.
Neil_LCFC Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Stoke didn't win it it was 0-0 had we won we were safe.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Stoke didn't win it it was 0-0 had we won we were safe. Went for a point, got a point and got relegated, Hollloway was a complete buffoon that day, we had a go at winning the game for about the final 5 minutes when it finally dawned on him we were going down.
eaststand68 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Burnley at home when they equalised, that was the point it all unravelled!!! If we had won that game we would have taken some points off the teams around us, that is the most important thing to staying up and yes we played Palace the week before but that was away winning home games was key to survival and Burnley started the rot. Ironically it was the game that Nigel gave Burnley the motivational speech afterwards, I bet they cant wait to play us again and smile at the psycho Pearson. " Were better than them" well not this season Nigel.

" Were better than them" well not this season Nigel. Something that sticks out for me is after the Man Utd game. Whilst enjoy and celebrating it I had one eye on the following games, keeping calm and making a point that we must keep our feet on the ground and focus on games against teams around us, in the games where if we were to survive they were the games we would need to/likely to get our points from and we needed to make sure we were 'up' for those games, motivated, it's easy to get motivated against the top teams, we needed to make sure we treated the following games the same. I got shot down for that opinion, turned out to be the case though didn't it. Performing against Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal (x2), Liverpool, Tottenham, where were those performances and battles against QPR, Burnley, Villa (x2, albeit 1 a cup game), Palace (x2), Stoke, etc.

That's right. Also played Harry Worley as a defensive midfielder that day and set up not to get beat. Holloway bottled it.
Guest Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Mathematically away at Sunderland. Realistically today probably the last chance saloon though.
