Webbo Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 I think we've learned that Clyne and Delph are sh1t and would be lucky to get a game for Scotland. In the end a draw was just about fair and we could have had a undeserved win.
theessexfox Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 After much deliberation: Hart Walker Jones Cahill Gibbs Carrick Wilshere Sterling Rooney Welbeck Sturridge With players like Henderson, Milner, Lallana, Kane, Townsend, etc floating about the subs
Dan Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 Really? I thought we did well ... his best team is when welbeck and sterling are available ... That is clear from the competitive matches First half was appalling. Second was a bit better but still 'meh' at best for me. Thought we ended fairly strongly but it was just overall a pretty bland encounter. All a bit nondescript. I'm not convinced we've moved forward since the world cup.
Mikey Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 All I know is Carrick has to start, whoever we're playing. Streets ahead of our other midfielders. Shame we've wasted him by not picking him enough for the last 8 years.

I thought Delph in the first half was better tonight than he was on Friday, though I do agree about Clyne so far i've seen nothing to prove that he's an international player.
Stadt Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 Hart Townsend Cahill Baines Milner Carrick Sterling Lallana Rooney Kane Welbeck
Stadt Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 Is Stones any good or not? Surely Shawcross is worth a go? Jagielka, Jones, Chambers and the other centrebacks we wheel out are doggo
DB11 Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 Hart Townsend Cahill Baines Milner Carrick Sterling Lallana Rooney Kane Welbeck I might make that a custom formation on FIFA... I genuinely used to play 5-0-5. Won loads of games 5 at the back (no one can score) and 5 up front just keep passing it around. I mean you had to play long ball. I am going back to like FIFA 11 or 12 here though

Stadt Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 At least we have attacking options now, Sterling Welbeck Rooney Kane Townsend Sturridge Walcott Berahino Rodriguez Lallana centre mid and centre back are problem areas though.

I remember being really confident around 2010 World Cup I think because we finally had a decent goalkeeper and an apparently solid defence, and then the problem was no attack. I bet 2016 and 2018 we'll have decent attack but nothing in defence
GingerrrFox Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 Hart Walker Cahill Stones Baines Carrick Henderson Wilshere Sterling Rooney Welbeck That's the best side we can put out at the moment for me.

Could have done with getting Terry back in, at least with carrick protecting we will be stronger there.
Jaspa Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 Portugal have just lost to Cape Verde What was going on with the Italians? The stadium was half empty and they had English adverts spinning around the field, also half their team was missing. Really seemed a non-event tonight, I wish there was more spirit in these things

Really seemed a non-event tonight, I wish there was more spirit in these things According to somebody on Twitter, camera angles are two way in internationals, one stationed either side. Whilst we got Pukka Pies and Wickes, the cameras on the other side of the ground would've shown Gazzetta Dello Sport etc

Jaspa Posted 31 March 2015 Posted 31 March 2015 Heres the Townsend goal from the other side Never heard of '24 DRE' to be honest
Dan Posted 1 April 2015 Posted 1 April 2015 John Stones cannot be worse than Smalling. Clyne & Delph were both crap but I wouldn't write them off just yet. If we try and outpass teams with the likes of Henderson and Delph then we're digging our own grave. We need to press more if we're playing those types of players.
ScouseFox Posted 1 April 2015 Posted 1 April 2015 Town send is literally the wowseqeekve ever see plan dor englands the prck

DB11 Posted 1 April 2015 Posted 1 April 2015 Did you go to the pub to watch the game by any chance.... or am I missing the joke? Must have gone to the pub and lost a bet judging by his follow on post in the betting thread lol
Ollie93 Posted 1 April 2015 Posted 1 April 2015 Did anyone else think Ross Barkley played really, really well in the last 25mins?

I can see a bit in Clyne but yes, we've struggled for a top right back going all the way back to when Neville retired, Delph I'm not so keen on. I'm actually quite likeing this England team at the moment. Old guard all cleared out bar Rooney who seems to be doing a pretty decent job as captain, pretty young average age, and thanks to the fact that everyone else really doesn't seem to be that good at the minute I think we actually have a chance of competing if a few of the players can continue to develop and get better next season.

ScouseFox Posted 1 April 2015 Posted 1 April 2015 Townsend is literally the worst player ever to play for England the pr1ck is the translation. Might start calling him town send tho sounds better
