Babylon Posted 19 March 2015 Posted 19 March 2015 Team from that will probably be something like: Hart Clyne Cahill Jones Baines Carrick Delph Henderson Sterling Kane Rooney (Don't forget England have adopted the diamond most recently) Jesus... how horrific is that. Would that team even make the top 4 in this country?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 March 2015 Posted 19 March 2015 doesn't look as bad going forward as it once was. Defence is bleak though
Webbo Posted 19 March 2015 Posted 19 March 2015 All the folks who claim they don't care about England moaning about the team as usual.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 19 March 2015 Posted 19 March 2015 Can they select an England squad every week, it deflects negativity away from our problems.
filbertway Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 Hart Clyne Cahill Jones/Smalling Gibbs Carrick Henderson Sterling Barkley/Rooney Lallana Sturridge/Rooney
Bert Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 WTF has Luke Shaw done to get in the squad?!? He's been useless all season!Signed for Man Utd.
Jon the Hat Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 WTF has Luke Shaw done to get in the squad?!? He's been useless all season! Presumably they think he will be one of our two left backs in the squad for many years.
RonnieTodger Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 Why has he not given Austin a chance? Fair enough if you don't want to play him against Lithuania but give him a game against Italy. 3 Left-Backs is just
Jimothy Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Luke Shaw has pulled out of the squad injured. But don't worry, Danny Rose has been called up, so we still have a full compliment of 3 left backs.
Forster Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 I've got a spare ticket for this game, I only want face value for the ticket (£10). Can meet you on the day, only trouble is it's an Under 16 and can't be upgraded (I don't think). If you're interested get in touch or tweet @DarynForster
Donut Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 I am not a fan of this Friday night kickoff/ staggered kick offs for qualifiers schedule we have now. A saturday afternoon would be ideal, but organising time off to travel to London on a friday night is tricky, or takes a lot of forward planning. And no disrespect to them, but if im going to arrange time off, id rather not do it for a mediocre opponent like Lithuania. Youll sell them anyway no doubts.
CosbehFox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Ryan chuffing Mason. About as average as it gets.
J.Lisemore Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Ryan chuffing Mason. About as average as it gets. We really are a nation crying out for better players to come through. Mason has had a half decent season, but once upon a time, someone like him wouldn't even be close to an England call up.
Guest Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Maybe we could put some of the amazing amount of TV money into improving English players. The EPL is killing any home grown talent that we may have. Home born player limits need to be introduced to the EPL too.
Guest Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 So no Vardy or Drinkwater. The season started with such optimism.

Just don't see why he deserves it any more than a Mark Noble or a Leon Osman.

Mason has had a half decent season, but once upon a time, someone like him wouldn't even be close to an England call up. That's what I quite like about the Kane call up. As much as he looks like somebody's melted a cheese toastie on an iron he has really earned that call-up. Too often players are getting their first caps after 4 or 5 decent displays (Barkley) or 25 mediocre ones for a big club (Mason) but Kane has been performing at an extremely high level for about the last 30 matches for his club. There can't be many higher goalscorers since mid-November across europe's top 5 leagues - Messi perhaps?
CosbehFox Posted 25 March 2015 Posted 25 March 2015 Leon osman lol lol Doesn't deserve it any more I said. It's all I could off the top of my head. Been called up once anyway. There's a remarkarable difference between us and Germany in our fielding of youngsters. By the time, the young prospect in Germany plays for his national side. He will have played at least 100 Bundesliga games. However, over here you need a good six months with about 15 decent performances and you are in the England squad. Already seen that Low is pushing for the likes of Volland to be in the under 21s over the summer whilst we have Spurs demanding Kane doesn't go but plays a poxy friendly in Australia.

Mason has been spurs' best midfielder and an integral part in their form, whereas Leon Osman can't get a game in a wank Everton side.
