Well yeah, but there was a time he was really good at club level but everytime he put on an England shirt he made a howler. On the other hand, some players who aren't overly spectacular at club level excel for the national side. Vassell did it, and Welbeck, who just scored again, seems to be the same. Suits England very well.

Llanna is a much better player. His final ball is awful, he has no power what so ever, his passing is awful has a bit of pace but no awareness of the game.

Every England player goes through this phase. It's part 2 of 3. Part 1 he was amazing. Part 3 he'll be not quite good enough to win anything for the rest of his career, yet still earn £200,000 a week.

He lost a bit of form from last season but I like him. If you accept that there will be 8 or 9 fruitless runs or passes and then one killer one, he's a luxury worth having.
