steveherbe Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 MOTD has just shown sunday back pages, saying the best league in the world has the worst referees. Cant disagree. And Kermo hss just blasted a perfect penalty in for Bmth, fookin typical
Izzet is God Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 It wasn't a pen IMO but we still conceded two before that incident....at least we had a go though. Little too late - lets just hope all the others around us keep losing as well.
Donut Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Is it fair to say the penalty is in the "seen them given" bracket? At first glance i thought it was stone wall, but seeing it again a few times, it was a soft one. Having said that, if it was a decision going our way, id be screaming for it and want it to be given. So im not sure about it. I dont want to go down the road of blaming referees though. Every team at the bottom can have their own hard luck stories, i heard Dyche talking about penalties they havent had at Burnley, so its not just us. As a fan, you dont remember all the decisions you get in your favour, only the dodgy ones against so im not going to be overly critical.
Merging Cultures Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 I saw the first half, but then we had a thunderstorm and my satellite went out. But watching the goals back, we did gift them the first two. We all know Kaspar doesn't command his area. The cross was at a good height and reasonably close to him. He should have done better with that. And if you're not going to take control and hold on to the ball, you definitely do not just palm the ball down in the area. Awful goal keeping. The second goal, poor defending again. Terrible control. Why just stick your leg out if you don't think you can control it properly. Sure if it had ran through and they had scored, we'd have been complaining too, but we had two defenders behind him, who probably had more time to have dealt with it better. I'm not sure if there is much communication happening at the back. I didn't see the penalty call yet. The fourth, not much to be said there. I am not sure Schlupp could have done much more. Our goals were all really good though. We look good when we attack. The keeper probably could have done more for Morgans. But it shows the difference between the teams that their goals were more about us making errors. Top teams don't give goals away.
harpendenfox Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 I think it's become clear that if we get an offer for Kasper in the summer we take it, and start next season with Ben as our number one
Matt Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 I think it's become clear that if we get an offer for Kasper in the summer we take it, and start next season with Ben as our number one I'd have no arguements with Kasper in goal next year, he is a quality Championship keeper, that is his level, but he is so out of his depth in the Premiership it's unbeleivable. Besides you will not see Hamer play under Pearson again, fact. Mind you if Pearson goes perhaps Hamer stays.
st albans fox Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Kasper was poor for the first yesterday but his distribution from kicking, was, in general, different class to hamer and schwarzer. if hull lose today, then no real damage done. We shouldn't expect a win at spurs and it doesn't change the number of winnable games left. The mental response from the players was promising - just hope they realise this. Did he take off Huth because he couldn't sub a sub or because he doesn't want to play him in a two? I hope the former. Expectations remain low after hull but the fat one hasn't quite been wheeled on stage. need hammond's calf to mend but it looks like one of those that will drag on and on. the back end of that villa game sure was expensive when you take that injury and James' red into consideration.

Matt Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Why will hamer never play again, clearly been the best of the 3 this season. Because apparently Pearson doesn't like him (According to Bert) and lets be honest it makes sense. As you say he's clearly been the best of the 3 this season, i'm not disputing that, Pearson's selection policy obviously is though...

Jesus the man never fails to amaze me, wonder what calamity must do to stay in contention week in week out.
Jonezy Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 As usual. Good effort, but just not enough... Play bad and win is league winning style, play well and lose is sure fire relegation... Hate this stupid season. Kind of miss the Leauge One fun these days... WTF? Did you miss last season and personally would rather this season than a winning one in div1 ffs wish we had never been in it. That came out a bit more literal than intended. This season is just so frickin anticlimatic in the worst way possible. I had hope that this team could establish themselves in the Premier League, but instead we have to go through this nightmare. That League One season should never had happend, I agree, but that season was the opposite of this one, where you came from felling the worse ever to actually start being proud of the team again and having some fun winning some games. Last season was awesome, but that is also why this season is feeling so horrid and anticlimatic....
The Doctor Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Having watched the highlights back: dean has to have seen the slap given he's gone across to talk to them, so to not send him off is an awful mistake. The penalty - shoulder to shoulder and a dive, if we got that I'd have been laughing for a week, it's just a clear non penalty. There's go to be a conspiracy against us, there's no way that refs can be consistently awful against us by coincidence.
wurmer Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Media speculation - was bound to happen, let's see if anything comes of it... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3005921/Leicester-boss-Nigel-Pearson-hot-water-FA-labeling-Mike-Dean-arrogant-following-decision-awarding-controversial-penalty.html
C-man Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Incredible that at no point yesterday did I ever feel we were under pressure and still conceded four. Laughable penalty decision and some horrific luck with Kane's second and the Schlupp OG (even if you could say there was very questionable defending before all three incidents).

He could have seen the aftermath with them 2 just pushing and shoving and not actually knowing a slap was involved.
The Doctor Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Not necessarily. He could have seen the aftermath with them 2 just pushing and shoving and not actually knowing a slap was involved. The slap was the final part of their Argie bargie, after that Leo goes away holding his cheek. If he's seen barging, he's seen the slap.
Pen 3 Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 this was the best game i've been to for some time, great atmosphere, it swung from end to end and while many of the things that have worried me with our performances this season were still clear to see - it could have gone either way in the end. We have proved one thing this season - that we are no push-over even when 2 down, and that at least is one thing to savour from our brief time in the PL.
JIMMYWILLIS Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Kasper was poor for the first yesterday but his distribution from kicking, was, in general, different class to hamer and schwarzer. You did see how poor he was receiving the ball from defenders???
Nick Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 I was out yesterday and only caught the game on the radio (But boy was it nice on absolute radio not to endure the rhetoric of radio Leicester commentary.......) so watched it back this morning from the ky game of the day recording - should we have had a penalty early doors when their keeper got injured? It looked like Vardy was pushed off the ball by the defender who clattered into their keeper and was prevented from a scoring opportunity without the player touching the ball? I wasn't sure how to interpret the incident as to whether it was a 50/50 or a foul?

Nick Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Linesman had already flagged Vardy as offside, hadn't he? Ah okay - must have missed that whilst reaching for the ibuprofen! I may have over indulged during the rugby.
CosbehFox Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 My question to Mike Dean would be that what did you see? Because his positioning is poor. The view from his angle would be too difficult to tell. What did he see to say that's a penalty. It was a decision which occurs only at the grounds of the top 7. Rose collided into the back of Nugent. It was certainly too unclear at real time to give any decision. However why we play that formation when teams have one up front I do not know. It allows the amc in the case of Eriksens to wander around without being marked.
Claridge Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 It's true, he's probably our most complete striker. He's just ****ing annoying at taking his chances, but when he does he does what he did today. Best game foe a while must missed a sitter as usual
Dickov22 Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Awful for 20 mins but after that, we were the better side. I actually thought it probably was a penalty. Nugent played so well though, I didn't think he had that in him and was really annoyed when I heard he was starting. That's how we need to play now until the end of the season. Attack attack attack.
