Gerard Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Pearson just gone nuts at the Ref? Hopefully because he has been told it will cost him his job.
Thracian Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Right or wrong, the penalty incident only emphasises, yet again, the glaring need for referees to have video technology available. As for the game itself we kept ourselves in with a chance which is to our credit but we never planned for and dealt with their major weapon, conceded four goals and failed to win again with our recently favoured back five. Whatever the theories about why, it's just not good enough. The whole point of tactical input is to fashion a system which, when applied, has the effect of winning us games and points and we've not done that nearly often enough. And our priority today should have been minimising the impact of Kane. That was glaringly obvious pre-kick-off but he actually netted four times! Some preparation! Every team needs an Alan Woollett...a man-marking limpet. Just as they need a dead ball specialist and other "experts".
justfoxes Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Great displays at times God knows why Kramaric never got a chance today would rather have played him than ulloa the last 15 minutes with him on I think we could have got the equaliser thought we were unfairly punished yet again for a penalty that never was thought as always the travelling support again best in this league utterly awesomely superb yet again.still believe we can just about survive the drop Pearson needs to sort out his first 11 but I honestly doesn't think he knows that himself really not a big fan of Pearson anymore as quite a few like me who backed him through out the season want him gone now but this is too late in the season to make any difference now but like said before I'm still keeping an optimistic outlook and until it's mathematicaly certain we will be relegated then I'll keep an open mind !! Come on city big push for the last 9 games let's fight for survival !!
Jam Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 At least West Ham have just scored an 88th minute winner to beat Sunderland so that keeps them in the relegation mix. Overall it's hard to not feel hard done by. On to the next game which is against the Hammers.
Saxondale Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Typical jammy Spurs. A team whose confidence seems to carry them (so far).
wurmer Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Did I hear that Pearson had made 'disparaging' comments about the ref after the game - anyone know anything about that. He's right, it wasn't a good performance, but he's on probation with the FA isn't he?
Corky Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 There's no point complaining about refereeing decisions, they even themselves out (apparently, so we're told) so no excuses there. No doubt Match of the Day will run out of superlatives about Harry Kane, we'll be told we're unlucky, they'll point out some defensive errors. Just another Saturday really.
Corky Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Did I hear that Pearson had made 'disparaging' comments about the ref after the game - anyone know anything about that. He's right, it wasn't a good performance, but he's on probation with the FA isn't he? If that is based on the SSN interview then nothing should be done about it- he called the decision contentious and the referee arrogant, nothing to imply favouritism, cheating or bias in that.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 We can slag the ref off as much as we like but we threw the game away in the first 20 and that's what cost us. Loved the fighting spirit, needed this at home to be fair. Lets just try and enjoy the rest of the season with a bit of togetherness. Up the foxes.
Guest bss9401 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 We score 3 and still lose!! WTF!! 0-2 down before we got our backsides in gear. Is there no end to the torment this season?
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Has anyone mentioned Vardy's performance today? Thought he did brilliant down that left side, great control, crossing, and tortured Kyle Walker. He was all over him today. Just a reminder that Kyle Walker is in the England squad. Just a reminder we have one of the worst collection of right full backs in top 32 of the FIFA rankings. Good on him for today's performance, but I thought it'd be a bit sooner than late March when we were praising him for his second goal, and pretty much his second notable performance. I'd keep him for next season as we are obviously doomed now but he's struggled horribly at this level and it'd take something very special from him next year to convince me he has anything close to the ability to make a decent first team contribution.
st albans fox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Perhaps some of them are thinking about next season and raising their game to try and get a move to stay in the PL? Nah - surely not ..................
lgfualol Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Think somebody will snap vardy up to be honest Can definitely imagine a newly promoted side putting a few bids in. The Vardy of the last two games and Man U would be a big asset in most clubs. He's English and a striker = £10m PLS
SpacedX Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 When the owners sack Pearson tgey should look no further than foxestalk fir his replacement. Plenty of football managers here I have a theory that NP is actually on here. If not, he's definitely been reading it lately.
HK18 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Must be so bored of hearing how you did well etc and got no points but it's very true. Nowhere near the worst team we've played this season. We weren't really at our best, but you matched us for much of the game and only a few breaks here and there decided the game. Both teams looked very shaky at the back, and it's no real surprise we saw 7 goals, but obviously your team are still playing for each other and the manager. The pace of Vardy and Nugent caused us a lot of problems and I don't think you utilised them enough. Walker is having a shocker of a season and should have been targeted more. It does look pretty grim for you right now but you never know, keep playing like you did and see what happens. Good luck to you.
Richmondfox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 I thought Vardy had a great game. Shame they didn't stick a DM on Kane to break up the play rather than 3 at the back soaking up their attacks, James and Cambiasso can only do so much. Once again Jeff's brain was on a 2 second delay, gives the ball away way too easy Great finish by Nugent, shame he spooned his better chance out for a throw in. Leo constantly does the back to goal hold up play but never sticks his arm out to shield the ball like Bony etc, he always leans back into the defender and gives away free kicks or gets brushed off. Never a pen, Rose ran into the challenge but Nugent should have just cleared it. Once again the basics are costing us and that is why we are bottom.
justfoxes Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 We score 3 and still lose!! WTF!! 0-2 down before we got our backsides in gear. Is there no end to the torment this season? NOPE !!;(
iniesta Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Not with you on the 10m but definitely a good option from the bench, his pace is terrifying if used correctly.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Pearson in that sky interview looks like a wounded animal. His eyes are all over the gaff, one of his pupils make him look like he is on smack and the other looks like he has double dropped some heavy am'dam strength pills. You're right!
