Theories?

Recommended Posts

I must admit I'm starting to think Thaigate has been used as a smokescreen. I'm coming around to the view that the owners just felt we needed a higher profile man at the helm which is why i've taken no notice of the lennon rumours. It happened too quick, over the phone, too late but yet the overall timing was awful.

Yeah if it was about Thai-gate their is absolutely no way they would've signed Okazaki, a player Pearson was clearly keen on, when they did.

They saw their opportunity to get a high profile manager and they took it, which is their prerogative, but it's extremely disappointing that they haven't stuck with a project that was working, don't care that it's not what most fans want and haven't got the balls to tell us that's why they've done it.

I have a feeling work has been ongoing behind the scenes to see who else is available, have some covert talks and when the opportunity arose, they moved fast to get him out and Hiddink in if reports are true. I don't think they would put the progress at such risk for anything less. Maybe they held fire until some key deals were resolved first. (i.e Okazaki).

If we appoint Hiddink this simply has to be the case.

It's just too much of a coincidence for all this to have happened so quickly after he resigned.

My only challenge to this is that we just don't know - my post was conjecture and it's not that they don't have the balls either way, it's standard PR protocol, politics, the way of the world and ok not right, not fair, but doesn't stand them out from the crowd on the nastyometer - it's just par pro curso

None of us know right now why Nige has been sacked.

All we can do is guess it is something to do with porngate.

He has backed his son (not going into that and the racist comment yes not Nige's son)

But hey take the bias away lets be honest.

You'r son is the next Rooney/Lineker.

City Florest and the Sheep come in for him at 15 and you live in Kent.

Your are trusting his care in the club he signs for.

Forget status you gonna let him go to a club that has just had 3 players all over the news for porngate or one that has a clean record.

As a dad my kids don't go to city if I am not a fan.

Sorry supported nige but if he has gone for his lad I don't care.

I'm taking a wild stab in the dark here, but I think it might have something to do with the stupidity of it.

Just a hunch.

Stupid you are either not a dad or have very low morals.

I'm guessing because it's a theory about why Pearson was sacked?

Probably a good fit for the 'Theories' thread.

The point was not his sacking or why.

It was more to do with if he backed his son.

Even if he did not would you want your young son going to a club with that on it's record.

It's not like it's arbitrary to go to Thailand and film yourself shagging a prozzie if you sign for Leicester City - the club condemned it and sacked the players involved, making it clear there's no tolerance for this kind of thing. It's nothing to do with the club, it's all to do with the silly young men who got themselves into a stupid situation.

If anything, I'd be proud for my son to go to a club where they deal with things like this in the proper way.

From today's developments this is what I reckon happened:

Hiddink resigned, Thai owners eyes lit up because of his stature in Asia and his big name appeal.

They called him/his agent Tuesday to see if he was interested and got given the green light.

Sacked Nigel without any sort of explanation and put a loose statement out allowing fans to read the worst into it in terms of where the fault lies.

Leak to the media that they haven't drew up a shortlist yet to seem like they haven't been sneaky behind Pearson's back.

Set the Wheels in motion today to allow the heat to be taken out of the situation to bring him in.

By mid next week Guus Hiddink will have signed a lucrative 2 year contract to be our manager.

Agreed but this only come out cos the dumb fvcks filmed it.

Not saying it don't happen at other clubs but we put it on U Tube.

The Devil you know. everyone knows what our players get up to now.

"We" didn't put anything on the internet - the three involved were the only ones responsible. Leicester City doesn't turn players into prozzie banging racists, they were just three bad eggs. If players are looking at the club, thinking 'I wouldn't like to be involved in any of that' then the answer is simple - don't get involved in any of that, like 99% of the other players at this club.

Think you might be worrying too much about this. Won't affect player recruitment in the slightest.

Maybe they decided a while back that they wanted rid of Nige, and rather than waiting for the right moment, they were waiting for the 'right manager' in their opinion to become available? Hence the "fundamental differences in perspective"?

All speculation of course.

I think the owners planned to get rid of Nige as soon as we got promoted. If you think about it, they sacked Nige as soon as they had a reason. They realised they wouldn't be able to find a good enough replacement at the time, so they reinstated him. I just feel they have been looking for a big name Sven type manager for more publicity. What if Nige was the exception and they just want big names after all? I really hope I'm wrong and they sign a promising young manager.

We are talking the long game here. They must have planned to get Nigel in for just long enough to get us promoted so they knew there would be a celebration of the promotion and then pay Hopper enough (not much) cash to lure James Pearson into a sex orgy and film it so they had to sack him so Nigel would kick off so they could sack him so they could get another manager in with a big name and Hiddink is the man. We are going beyond....  Can everyone except Nigel has gone (I am gutted too) . And let's get on with the future.

This was my other theory too and probably the most likely - i.e  a little more reactive than proactive based on the Hiddink situation. A John Rudki autobiography in 20 years time may make an interesting read - still all speculation though

New theory.

The Thais are preparing to move house because developers want to build a golf course in the place of their neighborhood.

But when they stumble upon a treasure map of the famed "One-Eyed" Willy's hidden fortune, they set out together on a quest to find the treasure in hopes of saving their neighborhood. The treasure is in a cavern, but the entrance to the cavern is under the hide-out of evil thief Mama Fratelli and her sons Jake and Francis, and the severely disfigured Lotney "Sloth" Fratelli. Sloth befriends the Thais and decides to help them find the treasure.....then they sacked Pearson.

Sounds plausible but why would this sloth guy befriend the Thais??????

In all seriousness, the fact that we're bidding £12million for ANOTHER striker does add to the idea that the owners may well be getting involved in transfers like Jace suggested.

Or the new manager has been sorted and given the go ahead to make the offer??????

But surely you'd wait for him to be announced. It's not as if other bids are going for Austin so we need to bid now. I'm sure a lot of fans would much rather see a new manager before transfer bids go in.
