brisfox Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 In the past 50 years of watching Leicester City, I have watched many great players including Best, Gascoigne, Dalgleish,Lineker and Charlton. The question I have is this, how does Mahrez rate? I think he is the best dribbler since Best. Thoughts?
Webbo Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 The way Swansea started the season I thought Montero looked like a world beater, not sure what happened there.

Kitchandro Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 Well Messi is a better dribbler than Best was so do you just mean players you've seen in the flesh?
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 Gazza and Maradona were pretty effective dribblers, plus Messi. Let's not get too carried away with Mahrez, as good as he is and probably can go on to be.
Sir Shep Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 He's good, but not that good, yet. I personally still rate Muzzy as our best ever midfielder but that's just my opinion.

MC Prussian Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 Well, with Mahrez abstaining from alcohol altogether, his career is likely to last a bit longer than Best's, for instance.

Clever Fox Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 It's easy to see the similarities in style between them. Mahrez still has time to be as good as George.

The question I have is this, how does Mahrez rate? I think he is the best dribbler since Best. Thoughts? No because even tho Best only lasted until 26, Mahrez has to play at an high/this level longer. No because a Keith Weller, even before he came to Leicester, did more. Then there is S.Bowles, W.Morgan, R.Marsh, L.Glover, my weakness I dont have a short memory. Mahrez could become a legend, he has only just started.... The 60s,70,80s,90s we saw through Europe, and from the Americas, some great dribblers, and like Vardys special skill of taking a ball at full pace is special, but not Unique. But without putting anybody on a pedestal, its our players now, that have put us Top of the league, enjoy the ride lets see where the blue bus of dreams takes us. My Nads Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 Best wasn't the best player so it's a mute point. Maradona was hands down the best player ever. He was/is a total bellend, but as a player no one comes close.

Great Boos Up Posted 7 December 2015 Share Posted 7 December 2015 I think he meant while watching a Leicester City match. I thought Dalgleish and Lineker were poachers. Did anyone else see Best and Gascoigne against Leicester?
