Tom Lawrence anyone?

Unless we get a decent offer for him - unlikely though with only one year left on his contact.

So keep him in the first team, maybe he'll prove himself, be offered a new contract, and decide he wants to stay.

I think he will get a pre season with us, hopefully he does well and impresses.

Sell: Wasilewski, Mendy, Musa, Ulloa, Slimani

Loan out: Barnes, Kapustka

Potentially Sell: Lawrence, James. Both might want a fresh start in the summer. Hopefully James returns to his old form and stays though.

Sign: RB, CB, RW, CM, CAM

Getting on for 60 million we spent on them, id like to see a bit more of Mendy before he's written off.

I'd like to see a lot more of them before being written off. The vast majority of the minimal amount of games they've played in were when the entire team was playing poorly.

Also about Michael Keane & Gibson.. I wouldn't be against signing them, however their performances have been overhyped by the media. Players like Craig Dawson, Jonny Evans, Phil Jones & Martins Indi have played much better but have gone under the radar.

Keane/Gibson will become superior to Morgan/Huth I'm sure, but it wouldn't be an instant transition. I'd still sign one of them, or both, for the future but I don't think they'd improve our Starting XI straight away.

we can't afford the luxury of giving him a starting spot for the season, people think replacing mahrez is easy, just take it this way, hazard had 45 goals+assists in the last  3 season. mahrez has 42. i cant trust gray enough to be the main man, he has more than 1000 minuts in this season and he didnt show that he can pick up the offensive load of a mahrez caliber player

So Gray has a thousand minutes and done very little.prior to CR's sacking how many minutes did Mahrez have and what did he do? Feck all. Judge Gray like others when they play in games from now on with our new/last season form.

The whole side were shite until four games ago yet you judge one player as not good enough.

I think we have to resign ourselves to losing our best players. Last summer it was an amazing coup to get them all to stay except for Kante. It was very disappointing that he left and was a major long term blow, now Ndidi is part of the team I can't have any hard feelings (especially after he came to watch us beat Sevilla - what a guy). Next summer though I won't begrudge anyone leaving because they stuck with us for this season. Kasper, Mahrez and possibly Vardy Drinkwater and Gray will all have people sniffing around them and I think we have to make peace that at least 2 of them are likely to leave.

I don't think Vichai will let Mahrez leave for anything less than an astronomical fee - upwards of £60m at the very least and hopefully to a big European side rather than an English team. He seems like a family man so would certainly put this first in any consideration. Isn't his wife British? If he leaves, Gray should get his place.

Kasper will be in demand at many clubs so the world is his oyster really. He appears to be really down to earth though and will again put his family situation first - I think he still lives in Cheshire and commutes to training everyday so he'll almost certainly consider it if Liverpool or either of the Manchester clubs come in for him. I have no idea how we could replace him though.

We desperately need RB cover and a good CB or two. If we keep playing to his strengths then Wes has at least one more good season in him. This is Maci's's real test and he did a great job with Ndidi. It all depends on what happens with Shakey - he must stay at the club whatever happens; the only issue I have with making him full time manager would be risking having to fire him if we struggled.

But if we don't buy to replace Mahrez as we see gray as the option. He cannot be inconsistent despite his young age. He has to create and score on a regular bases, because otherwise we have no creativity what so ever. For a 21 year old, that is huge pressure.

Yes we need to buy as well. But I'd give Gray first dibs whoever we get in (the replacement could replace Albrighton instead, for example). But we shouldn't rely on Gray to be consistent week-in week-out. It's not going to happen. He's a match-winner, but he can't do it every game, not at his age.

Mahrez is world class but inconsistent,

Gray is top end championship class and tries a bit harder .

Gray may develop - but if he was any good he would displace either winger or Singhi by now.

Most City Fans want Gray-- like all youngsters to be good  -but unfortunately the coaches and three managers have all spotted his limitations.

He is a good squad player so lets keep him and hope he develops.

(but note players like Mahrez are born with that talent!-Lets hope we can keep him)

He comes on for like 5 mins when the opposition are tired and scores tap ins. Good work rate? Really?:revenge:

Look at his game vs Southampton last season or Stoke. Scored an excellent shot outside of the box. He also has scored some beauties with his national team. The problem is that he isn't strong as a lone striker in Pep's system that depends heavily on possession. Under the right coach in the right position he can shine.

I think you have missed my point. The person I replied to said Gray was not good enough to replace Mahrez. I'm not saying he is. It's the fact that he's judge him from games when every player was shite Mahrez included.

I think a top 6 side will get Pickford. He's young and English and has potential which would help some of them meet their English quota.

I also think that Adam Traore should be one to look at as well. His decision making isn't the best but under some good guidance would be a useful player. Also a former La Masia student.

He has 100 games at PL and Championship level and is a quality player. I don't think 21 is too young if you have the ability and I think Gray is very confident in his own ability. I feel the likes of Gray can't be kept on the leash much longer, he needs to play or he'll be off.

Where do you think he'd get consistent game time?

If Kasper does go, I'd replace him with Jordan Pickford Or Danny Ward. I'd like us to try and get Adam Smith(Right back) from Bournemouth. Centre backs options; Pontus Jansson, Michael Hefele, Harry Maguire, Ben Gibson and Nathan Ake. Also, Young CM prospects like Philip Billing and Ronaldo Vieria. Thomas Cairney and Aaron Mooy have been outstanding in the championship this season. Attacking targets; Adama Traore, Gaston Ramirez, Gylfi Sigursson, Leon Bailey and Andre Gray. Just a few options here:scarf:

would you really be happy with just Vardy and Okazaki as our strikers?

We will lose Kasper.....Liverpool, United, Man City would all improve with him....Arsenal also might have a big rebuilding job.....it is too good a match for him not to go

Can't see Kasper going to Liverpool or Man City. Possibly Man UTD but I think he will stay.He is a legend here like his dad was at UTD.
