Ollie93 Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 http://static.guim.co.uk/ni/1427482096093/worst_saves.svg Discuss. Are strikers really that good against us? Are we just giving away easy chances? is he not as good at saving as we perceive him to be? 404 page not found
cc_star Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 His inability to come off his line cost us dearly, very dearly - in terms of putting our defenders under unnecessary pressure from crosses and set-pieces, leading to chances and therefore goals. He has the 2nd worst shots/saves ratio in the league I would sell him in the summer if there's any interest

Guest Col city fan Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 I still think Hamer is probably the best keeper we have. Kasper flaps too much.
Beliall Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 I still think Hamer is probably the best keeper we have. Kasper flaps too much. i think he's our best shot stopper, but doesnt exactly inspire confidence at anything else AT ALL. hamer is good but schwarzter is probably our best overall i think. despite the horrendous mistakes
Riyad_Suarez Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Ben Gamer with Kasper's distribution would be a class act. *Hamer
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Kasper is the only keeper that will win us points. Hamer and Schwazer are solid but imo only Kasper is capable of pulling outrageous save after save. You could argue he was the reason we won against West Ham. Who are you trying to kid?

fleckneymike Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 Don't we zonal mark for corners etc? That could also be a problem Not a full zonal (Cambiasso is on the line for a start). DeLaet was on mark marking duties if you watch highlights (you'll notice he loses Lescott who heads over and then Fletcher who scores).
Leicester_Loyal Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 If we stay up this year, a new keeper is a must in my opinion.
iancognito Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 For shot-stopping & distribution, especially at pace, Kasper is the best we have but he never leaves the 6 yard box, Hamer & Schwarzer both made errors but both commanded the area much better. He certainly kept us in it against West Ham but I'm not sure he had much bearing on the other games single-handedly.

fleckneymike Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 What are mark marking duties? We play part zonal, three big ****ers (Huth, Wes and Ulloa) do mark a zone, the others are deployed to mark men (with the exception of Cambiasso on the line). You'll notice Ulloa defends his zone quite well as he spend a lot of time clearing the ball, the issue we have is any competent manager usually lumps the ball to the back post where our short arses are (when we go three at the back we then have four men playing a zone) or as Pulis noted just run from back to front as DeLaet switches off an awful lot.
daddylonglegs Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 His return (although he played well against West Ham and Tottenham) has nothing to do with our turn in form. Still convinced he's our best keeper though.

So you meant 'zone marking duties'?
The Doctor Posted 17 April 2015 Posted 17 April 2015 So you meant 'zone marking duties'? Obviously not. ulloa + wes + huth mark zones. De laet marks a man...

Haydos Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Who are you trying to kid? Don't you get tired of being wrong?
Haydos Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 He was immense today. Won us at least 2 points. Yet people will still whine because he's not the best in the air. There's a reason why he's number one.
filbertway Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Yet people will still whine because he's not the best in the air. There's a reason why he's number one. He seems to have improved no end recently with his command in the air. His spell on the sidelines has done him good. He cost us a few goals in the first half of the season with his indecision. Since he's been back though, flawless so far, hope it continues.
Tuna Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 A lot of people were sneering about him earlier in the season on here.
