Spicer Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Did anybody see the Chelsea Arsenal match last week. Terry and Cahill dominated Giroud. Ulloa is a worse version so they will dominate him as well. I would say play Kramaric instead.
tomtom Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Is Hammond fit and available? As I'd be tempted to start him over James if we rest Cambiasso
MrSpaM Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Going into this with zero expectations other than the team showing some spirit and desire to win the game. As long as we don't get hammered i'll be happy.
Guy Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 A point would be a great achievement tonight, but in my opinion we cannot set up to get a draw, as we are not good enough to absorb the pressure. Have a real go at them like we did arsenal and Man U, we just might get a valuable point tonight. Either way, we are not expected to get anything tonight, and I just hope Chelsea come with the attitude, that it's an easy 3 points, and we have a go and attack them, come on boys, let's keep this good run going. This is about right. We are the obvious underdogs in this and a point would be great. Somehow I can't see us doing a 5-3 Man United on them and causing a real upset, even though any sort of win over them would be equally as fantastic as 'that day' last September. Even so the pressure is still more on us to get something from this game than it is on Chelsea to win it IMO. Also fielding a 'weakened' side against the Champions elect could be a recipe for disaster if Chelsea turn up as that could have a damaging affect on our goal diff. should they tonk us 0-4 or something! That is unlikely to be the case with the resilience and attacking prowess that we've showing in our four most recent games but this is against a team in an entirely different scenario than any of the four teams we've defeated of late. Resting players altogether (and not even putting them on the bench) who have been instrumental in our previous four games in order to keep them fresh for the Newcastle game would be suicidal really, with the premise being that Newcastle are there for the taking on Saturday on present form. Football doesn't work like that and it's better to try and get the points in the bag first than to assume the future....... the Toon may give us a game and actually beat us you know!
Fox92 Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Can't make it. Got an event at Uni at 5.30. Hoping it finishes at 7 though so I can quickly get to the pub. My brother's got my season ticket for tonight's game. A win would be massive but I'd take a point.
FourtyFour Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 **** the uni event off mate! this is faaarrrr more important than that
davieG Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Pearson: Fans Inspire Us image: http://www.lcfc.com/cms_images/blue-army-4-3280-2375510_478x359.jpg Blue ArmyImage by: Plumb Images Nigel Pearson is hoping the Blue Army can continue to replicate the electric atmosphere that has filled King Power Stadium in recent games. The City boss recognised the importance of the Club’s fans ahead of his side’s Barclays Premier League home clash with Chelsea this evening. In recent weeks, Pearson’s men have been roared on by the Foxes faithful, who have seen their side register four straight wins to move them out of the bottom three for the first time this year. And with four of their remaining five fixtures coming at King Power Stadium, Pearson paid a fitting tribute to the Blue Army, who he believes will be pivotal in City’s enthralling run-in. “It’s important to recognise that because we’ve been out the top-flight for such a long time this season has been one that hopefully the fans have enjoyed, even though we’ve had difficult moments,” said Pearson. “We’ve played a style of football for the most part has been worthy of where we are, but unfortunately our results haven’t always been what we want, to be honest. Throughout it they’ve remained behind us. “In the last few games in particular the stadium has had an atmosphere that is certainly inspiring and very helpful for the players as well. “My view always is that we’ve got to put something on to stimulate the fans. Of course, it is also very helpful if the fans create an atmosphere that the players are inspired by. That’s really been the case, and hopefully that will remain so.” Read more at http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/pearson-fans-inspire-us-2428591.aspx#iLR4HCC7vtCXu1IG.99
lgfualol Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Bloody hell it's only 1330 and I've already got rusty-water type nerves Same, already been for 6 poos.
Number 6 Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 I'd quite like to see Kram and Ulloa up front tonight. Interesting to see if they can click together and a good opportunity to try it. Plus both seem capable of feeding off scraps in the box, which we may need.
Benguin Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 All I want tonight is a goal. Nothing like celebrating a Leicester in the current King Power atmosphere. A draw would be good. A win and we will be at least 4 points clear by Saturday I would have thought owing to the fact that I'm doubtful Sunderland will get anything and if they do we could very well get 3 from Newcastle.
Larry_LCFC Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 I cant guess the score because I cant even guess the squad. Really have no idea how Pearson will play this one.
Benguin Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Is it worth gambling on Schwarzer to start this, given the copious amounts of Chelsea knowledge he has from his days there? Or is that a total disrespect to in form Kasper?
Ozwin Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 We got the clappers there tonight again? Also someone get the Riley thread going already.
filbertway Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Is it worth gambling on Schwarzer to start this, given the copious amounts of Chelsea knowledge he has from his days there? Or is that a total disrespect to in form Kasper? Don't see any benefit in bringing him in to play the game at all. No doubt he will have contributed to the game plan by revealing possible preparations made be Jose.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Is it worth gambling on Schwarzer to start this, given the copious amounts of Chelsea knowledge he has from his days there? Or is that a total disrespect to in form Kasper? If it stops him being old and shit then yeah go for it. Unfortunatley I don't think it works like that.
The Doctor Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Is it worth gambling on Schwarzer to start this, given the copious amounts of Chelsea knowledge he has from his days there? Or is that a total disrespect to in form Kasper? He'll have fed that info to Kasper, hamer and indeed the rest of the players over the past week.
Ric Flair Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 I really hope Kramaric starts tonight, it's all set up for him to shine. Nigel isn't usually one for giving in to fairy tales but I genuinely think Kramaric would win it for us tonight.
weller54 Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 I really hope Kramaric starts tonight, it's all set up for him to shine. Nigel isn't usually one for giving in to fairy tales but I genuinely think Kramaric would win it for us tonight. Bet Ulloa starts!!
cc_star Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Bet Ulloa starts!! Of course he will, have you seen the height of our team Vs their aerial threat from corners and setpieces? The question is, if anyone is alongside him or not
Jam Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 So nervous for this. Been on my mind all day at work. Honestly think we can get a draw. Surely?
weller54 Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Of course he will, have you seen the height of our team Vs their aerial threat from corners and setpieces? The question is, if anyone is alongside him or not Think we'll go 1 up front!!
Stevosevic Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 They've put clappers out again, ffs. Can't people just clap?
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 They've put clappers out again, ffs. Can't people just clap? Can't argue they've upped the atmosphere and the team has responded. No one clapped before so they had to do something didn't they.
