Raw Dykes Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 I'd be a lot more confident if this was at home. Only one out of the last five matches has been away, and it was comfortably our worst performance. I think Sunderland were very lucky to win the last two, but they will still gain confidence from their form, anyway. I'd be happy with a point, as we couldn't really have asked for a better fixture to end the season with. 1-1
Brooksy Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 had a dream we lost 2-1 (sad i know) and richard stearman scored an own goal
st albans fox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 My natural pessimism now kicking in. is this game one too many. Have we gone 'over the top' both physically and mentally? I guess the sports science fellas will know re the former but the mental side is a tough one. With so many out there now discounting the chances that we can be relegated, I wonder if that has got through to the players? Can they lift themselves for a final time to make the last match a party? just one last push guys!

The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Not going to slate other sides as its asking for trouble. Form will go out the Window. There's no way nige will allow complacency though.

Don't misunderstand me - this isn't abouut complacency, not about form, not about the quality of the opposition. In all sports, humans and animals will, at some point, go 'over the top' after a series of big effort performances. Can we get to the 24 May without having that reaction?

Another couple and I think at the rate we are losing players we would be struggling. I guess when you play at the tempo we have been doing recently it's inevitable you're going to pick up a few injuries. Is Andy King fit?

Ric Flair Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 You just know Cambiasso is going to do something magical on Saturday. It's going to be a tough game but I think he'll dig it out for us.
Lasty Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Think we're the better side but being away will level it out. It's 50/50. A draw wouldn't be the worst result as it keeps it in our hands going into the final day and could even keep us up if Spurs can somehow muster the energy to tear themselves away from their holiday brochures for a couple of hours.
Mark_w Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/why-we-easy-beat-leicester.1077014/ We easy lose
red-white Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Is nugent fit? my mortgage will be on him to score if he plays, still a canny finisher and certainly would give our four clowns trouble. As a sunderland fan through and through i could be optimistic and just say we will win but i just cant see it, i reckon we will try to capitalize on set pieces.

I'd say it's doubtful Nuge plays again this season. It's very unlikely: probably should not have come on against Southampton, and if he had not done so he might have been fit for this game. Great pity: I'd like to have seen him running at Sunderland's defence.

DennisNedry Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 I'll be watching the Tottenham Hull game just as closely as ours!
AyewJoking Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Totally agree, Leicester is now edging Sunderland, with regards to the City Centre, due to recent developments. However, I know both areas well, and for those that are slating Sunderland and the surrounding areas are wrong to do so, when Leicester is pretty similar. Similar as in, mainly council estates, a City Centre that attracts the poor, some decent surrounding areas. Easy to slate another town, but when you live in Leicester, you want to be careful before you slate. Its like telling someone they are rubbish at football when you have a wooden leg. Cheeky b@stards, what right have they got to go into the city centre?

Adster Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Really don't see why people should be worried of Sunderland. Two lucky penalties against out-of-form Southampton with nothing really to play for and two of the luckiest goals I've ever seen against Everton who have nothing to play for. We play anything like the way we've been playing and we'll blow them out the water, just like Crystal Palace and Aston Villa did at their place.
weller60 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 It will be ugly. If last week is anything to go by they play horrible horrible football and can see Vardy getting clattered at every opportunity (if they can catch him). Hope we play as we have been and quality wins
Dan Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Genuinely not nervous for this and I feel like I should be, but I'm just not. Surely it's not all going against us this weekend is it? I don't believe they're better than us either. The old debate about luck again but if anyone even tries to claim they weren't incredibly fortuitous last weekend then they're kidding themselves and no-one else. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a team get that amount of luck in a game since Chelsea v Barcelona.
Clever Fox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 It should be a great atmosphere on Saturday no room for negativity. If we turn up playing in the same manner then we should be ok. It might be a game to bring back Konchesky to help Schlupp with Johnson. While Morgan deals with Defoe. I'd go with Hammond to replace James alongside Cambiasso. I have a feeling that Kramaric will come to score the Winner or earn a penalty against O Shea. Foxes never quit.
