Confident cambiasso will sign a new deal too. Cousin says he spoke to someone at the training ground and cambiasso has agreed a new contract. He just needs to go in and sign on the dotted line. Should be over the next few days!

Does your cousin work for the club?

If not why would someone tell a fan what was happening?

As it was kind of mentioned earlier we desperately need another Vardy type player. We are too reliant on his pressing and work rate, If Vardy gets injured we would struggle. Okazaki makes sense and the fee isn't that much for the prem. We don't need to be signing 21 year olds with potential at the moment, unless someone amazing comes up as we have players with potential already, we need players that can make a difference now and keep us in the prem for the next few years and build from there.

This is key in my opinion. Everyone on the forum raved about how strong Vardy's end of season performances were in the survival run in. Had he been injured for that run of form, it wouldn't be a completely outrageous statement to say we might not have made it without him. A player of Vardy's enthusiasm, pace and style is key to our system of play, that is undisputable.

Yet now when we have the chance to add a player of reported identical qualities, with a good track record and a lot of top flight and international experience to boot, people are upset about it. Another Vardy can surely only be a good thing for the team under the current manager and within this system.

This. So good to read some sense on here.

I'm only telling you what he tells me. I'm not the one making it up. I said this morning he was at the training ground in a Leicester training kit. Few hours later the picture is on the internet.

From the Mirror so make of it what you will..

Leicester City are on the verge of signing Japan striker Shinji Okazaki from Mainz in a £7million deal, according to German dailyBild.

The Foxes have been tracking the forward for some time and the 29-year-old is said to be in England where he has agreed personal terms.

Mainz are still giving nothing away, nor are Leicester, but with just one year left on his deal, the player who cost them a tad more than £1million, looks all but a Leicester player.

Sounds like it's a green for go then

Hope it's a positive move :fc:
