LanguedocFox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I've been saving these threads for today. Some people have already eaten a slice of humble pie this afternoon, but a few others might like to savour its unique taste over a glass of something or other. Where are you Seenitall? http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/98215-that-has-to-be-it-pearson-needs-to-go/page-1 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/99485-for-the-3000-4000-who-sang-pearsons-name-you-guys-are-flogging/ http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/99830-pearson-out/ http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/100161-will-you-want-pearson-in-charge-next-season/ http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/99823-honestlywho-can-defend-pearson-now/ http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/99875-should-pearson-go-the-poll/ http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/99997-does-pearson-deserve-another-crack/ I'm fvckin loving it!
DB11 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Feeling smug seeing as I consistently voted that Pearson should stay in the polls
foxes_rule1978 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Had to duck when I come onto this site... so much humble pie flying around
Unabomber Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Since Nigel offered to buy my taxi to the ground I vowed never to doubt him, served me pretty well so far.
Larry_LCFC Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Yawn. I hate these threads with a passion. Just enjoy it instead of trying to belittle other people. People had every right to want him gone. The chances of pulling this off were slim.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Let's play which poster is this, attach a post and a clue. I'll start. Just seen that Burnley have won. They have picked a formation, a first team and played out their skins all season.Top marks go to Dyche. We today were utterly dreadful. I was literally bored. When it comes to our midfield and final third setting up chances for each other, we are clueless.Embarrassing season. Clue, when it comes to football, he is very rarely wrong. (Well done to Dyche and Burnely on not embarrassing themselves like us)
Webbo Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 How many crowing threads are we going to have? Anyone pretending they were certain we'd stay up in February is lying. Let's just enjoy today, eh.
ousefox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Yawn. I hate these threads with a passion. Just enjoy it instead of trying to belittle other people. People had every right to want him gone. The chances of pulling this off were slim. They belittled fans for believing in him. They well and truly deserve to be put in their place. Pearson has proved many times how good a manager he is but some people never learn. A lot of personal attacks on him were not on either.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 How many crowing threads are we going to have? Anyone pretending they were certain we'd stay up in February is lying. Let's just enjoy today, eh. I could probably go for a couple more to be honest mate, but you know me. and its more lack of faith in the manager than thinking we were down, IMO anyway. I thought we were down.
Larry_LCFC Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 We got 19 points from 72. It was abysmal. Nigel was extremely lucky to survive. Hindsight is wonderful thing, but the criticsm was entirely justified at the time. Let's move on and look to next season instead of gloating.
Mark_w Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Yawn. I hate these threads with a passion. Just enjoy it instead of trying to belittle other people. People had every right to want him gone. The chances of pulling this off were slim. Yeah plenty of people didn't just want him gone though. Plenty were calling him every name under the sun, ridiculing him, threatening people who had the audacity to defend him, think they deserve every second of this to be honest. If you're not one of those people then you shouldn't let it worry you, go and have a party.
LanguedocFox Posted 16 May 2015 Author Posted 16 May 2015 How many crowing threads are we going to have? Anyone pretending they were certain we'd stay up in February is lying. Let's just enjoy today, eh. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not lying when I say I thought in February we would stay up. I wasn't certain - that would be idiotic. But not as idiotic as some of the posters on here who have been calling for Pearson to be sacked for the past three seasons. Yes, let's enjoy today - but let's learn a few lessons as well.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Let's play which poster is this, attach a post and a clue. I'll start. Clue, when it comes to football, he is very rarely wrong. (Well done to Dyche and Burnely on not embarrassing themselves like us) Well it wasn't Col cos there is no mention of Cattermole... erm... was it you Manwell?
Stevosevic Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Happy to say i was wrong and i am delighted. I've always liked and backed Pearson but being honest i never though he would turn this round. Well done Nige and the boys!
Jaspa Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Let's play which poster is this, attach a post and a clue. I'll start. Clue, when it comes to football, he is very rarely wrong. (Well done to Dyche and Burnely on not embarrassing themselves like us) Thats Col Guess this Posted 15 February 2015 - 04:32 PMHopefully he falls off his bike and requires knee surgery like Redknapp. KingFox
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Thats Col Guess this KingFox Come on you need to attach a clue. Come on you need to attach a clue. Haha ok maybe not.
Mark_w Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/99823-honestlywho-can-defend-pearson-now/ My personal favourite, banned for saying I could defend Pearson and some lovely little posts about me. What Mark_W knows about football I could right on the back of a postage stamp in marker pen. This is the boy who worshiped Waghorn. 'Mark_W is Pearson.' ... 'Clueless??' ... 'amongst other words you could use yep.' Smug mode.
Guest Bilo Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I normally hate being wrong, but on this occasion I'm delighted. Let's hope we can push on and spark a revolution for LCFC.
ScouseFox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Yawn. I hate these threads with a passion. Just enjoy it instead of trying to belittle other people. People had every right to want him gone. The chances of pulling this off were slim. Why? These ****** spent every day from mid November until about three weeks ago belittling Nigel and anyone who said "maybe we've still got a chance". These utter cvnts deserve every "belittling" they get. They deserve a lot more than belittling.
Kitchandro Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I don't us staying up proves anything about Pearson. We have had the squad that should never have been relegated. Personally, although Pearson takes credit overall for building the team over the years, I think he's done a poor job this season. Away from home especially his negative tactics have really cost us. Neither away game in the last 8 matches has proved he's learnt his lesson about the way we need to play (considering how dominant we were in the other matches at home in the run) and we need to have a manager who knows our strengths and sticks to those principles which have served us well. I don't think that's Pearson. So, smug? I don't think that's warranted. Let's just be pleased we're still in the league, that doesn't make Pearson a genius. Thankfully, we at least had a go at home because we absolutely needed to.
GingerrrFox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 OH YEEEEE OF LITTLE FAITH. Dunt worrreehhhh bout ehhhhh lads. Nigel Pearson is the best manager this club has had for well over a decade. Long may he reign.

Kitchandro Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Who's to say next season we won't put ourselves in the same sort of trouble because we'd rather it back and play for a draw away from home? The comeback in the last 8 games is unprecedented, but for most of the season we really struggled, let's make no mistake about it.
