Bagworthblue Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Hope your right .... me too :-) I may come across as composed but I wanna bloody get him signed too! and Cambiasso
Fox 4 Life Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 I absolutely love Cambiasso but feel like Huth is even more important than him. The defence was a huge issue in the first half of the season but he really shored it up along with Kasper returning.
Bagworthblue Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 I absolutely love Cambiasso but feel like Huth is even more important than him. The defence was a huge issue in the first half of the season but he really shored it up along with Kasper returning. Agree and disagree. I go with both to an extent. Huth for his obvious ability and presence in the defence, his premier league experience and ability to deal with set pieces both as an individual and organiser. He cements our backline in addition to being just a very good CB. Cambiasso for the prestige he brings to the club, the experience, the calming effect, the overall leadership and the way he , just by being there, helps the rest of the team perform as let's face it, a bit of praise from him in training or in a game does wonders for your confidence. To feel respected by him, a guy who has played all his career at the top, alongside the best in the world can only make his team mates feel their own value. On top of this, he has a level of awareness and a footballing brain which stands him out a mile compared to the very best players in our team. He is always glancing over his shoulder off the ball aware of everything and hence when the ball comes his way, he doesn't need to stop and think, his first touch is usually a pass or to take him towards the pass he has already decided to make. He's like a footballing chess player, always thinking 2 or 3 moves ahead and whilst some of our other players have this to an extent, he maintains this level of concentration every second of the time he is on the pitch. As a coach (yawn) I spend a lot of time watching what happens off the ball and you coach players to look to pass forwards, and if not possible sideways, and if not then backwards. Cambiasso before receiving the ball is instructing those in front of him to make space and on receipt he is often able to pass forwards. Players spend 80-90% of their game off the ball and the work they do without the ball is crucial! Cambiasso is a walking, talking coaching Manual!! Fuchs has the very same qualities and is going to be an exceptional signing I'm sure btw!
MPH Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 I'm starting to get a little nervous.... but its only because i want him at the club so much.... When you want something so much it can cloud your judgement and make you over think McAuley? yeah i want him here and he'd be a good addition... but i wouldnt be that bothered if it took 2-3 weeks to complete that deal......
AyewJoking Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Reasons why Huth wouldnt want to sign permanently with us? Is there anybody significantly better than us who would want him? Is there anyone prepared to pay him higher wages than us?

Nick Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 I love the fact there is 6 pages of HUTH! transfer talk! There is literally no news about this whatsoever, thread started without a source and the report of Huth's parent club purchasing new player... that's it - unless I've missed something?

Pearson indicated he wanted to bring him in permanently and Stoke declared they would allow him to leave though

4everfox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 The good news with regards to Huth is that he hasn't been linked with anybody. Then again who saw Cleverley going to Everton?
NewquayFox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 He is still on his jollies so nothing will be sorted yet, between us & WBA for his signature, i reckon whoever offers him a 3 year deal will get him..... Up the City....
Bryn Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 He's in no rush is he? He's being paid a wage. He'll wait most of the summer to see who comes in I reckon.
sylofox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 He's in no rush is he? He's being paid a wage. He'll wait most of the summer to see who comes in I reckon. I would think as soon as people are back from Hol's at both clubs we will get an answer on this one. I don't think he is the sort to leave us hanging. I also don't see us hanging round waiting for him Nige needs to make other moves if this is not going to happen for us.
Bluearmy 316 Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Patients can sign anybody until 1st July that costs money

1972 Fox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Patients can sign anybody until 1st July that costs money Well NP did go into hospital for a couple of days towards the end of last season when feeling unwell. But I don't think that will give him an advantage in the race to sign Huth.
4everfox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 He's been predicted to go there since Xmas. Must have missed that
Jobyfox Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Well NP did go into hospital for a couple of days towards the end of last season when feeling unwell. But I don't think that will give him an advantage in the race to sign Huth. You are quite right. NP will have no advantage as an outpatient, but I hear that he's going to get himself fraudulently admitted with Irritable Bowel Syndrome to get this one over the line before Pulis steps in. Not ITK - this is just what somebody told me.
cc_star Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I think Huth would strengthen practically any team in the PL. Even Man Utd after spunking £150m last season were crying out for someone like him for most of the season I really want to get him signed, he's that good and that much of a 'difference-maker' that with him I don't think we'll be troubling the relegation spots at all & depending on midfield strengthening top 10 is more than realistic. It would take a hell of a lot of money to get someone as solid & as close to a guaranteed successful signing as you can get Come on Rudkin/Whelan/Top, let's do it!!!
