HUTH!

I thought this, but then again they have Dawson, Lescott, McAuley (out of contract I think) and Olsson.

This is exactly why we should be wary of them. Dawson at WBA away was probably the worst defending I have seen all season.

Arent you allowed to do permanents for players you have on loan outside the windows? Should be sorting this out now imo.

You can agree it all but they can not sign.

Not sure on the date but you can agree the deal.

Read in the Sky Sports paper talk section that Stoke are going to sign that CB they had on loan and played this season, can't type his name but the Stoke fans nicknamed him Wooly or something. Could be good for us regarding Huth.

The sooner he fvcks off the better someone with one leg would be better.

SSSHHHHHHusshh ( make them think we don;t want him it may work)

I'm with you on that, awful player would only pay half a million for him.

Please work

Philipp Wollscheid

Would be very happy for Huth to be forced out the door. Still can do a job in the Prem for the next few years. A perfect defender for us to cement our place in the Premier League for the next few seasons

I have to admit I was really surprised at just how good he was when he arrived. Always had him down as a bit of a thug but he's got so many elements to his game. His intelligence at reading the danger is tremendous

Sign him up!

If they are getting Wollscheid for £2.5mil, I can see them just accepting roughly the same value for Huth to fund the deal. Especially as Huth's wages, being a long time establish PL player, will far eclipse Wollscheid's as a younger Bundesliga player so they'd save money there too. I can see us tying up Huth for £2.5-3.5mil.

Wollscheid - and yes, they're keen on signing him on a permanent.

So, give us the Huth! We want nothing but the Huth!

That should be the decider then, chuck £2.5 million at 'em and if he's up for it we've got ourselves a Huth.

My concern is there may be other teams interested too. Pulis and West brom spring to mind.

My only concern is how much more we're going to spend on him as opposed to Baseball cap Pulis and his posse.

Because we're going to get him. Huth, not Pulis, mind. :D

Could be other clubs with the same idea.

Would not worry about other clubs unless it is one of the big boys.

Better the devil you know and he knows us and what we can do.

Add to that another 4 or 5 players we have a solid team.

Huth Hoping To Put On A Show

Posted: Fri 22 May 2015

Author: Leicester City

Defender Robert Huth is keen for Leicester City to end the Barclays Premier League season with a bang on Sunday afternoon as they tackle Queens Park Rangers at King Power Stadium.
With the Foxes already safe in the league and the Rs relegated, there’s little riding on the fixture in terms of the league, but Huth is keen to repay the fans for their support by giving them one more win to savour.

The 30-year-old German arrived on loan from Stoke City in January and has been a revelation alongside Wes Morgan and Marcin Wasilewski in a back three – a trio that have helped City seal five clean sheets out of six.

“There are exciting times ahead [for Leicester City]," Huth told Foxes Player. “Obviously all the lads are really happy with what has gone on over the last few months and hopefully now we can put on a good show for the home supporters on Sunday.

“We are professional footballers for a reason and we take every game seriously with the right attitude. I know we’re safe but when we step over the white line on Sunday it’ll bring that competitiveness back.

“For the fans, just a big thank you really. From day one they’ve been really supportive of myself and the team. They’ve really spurred us on to finally be safe next season.

“We never stopped believing that we could get a win and at times you just need one win to get you back into the thick of things. It took us a few games to do it but when we did we kept on winning games.”

The plaudits have been rolling in for City’s defence in recent weeks, and it’s a stability that Huth feels has given City’s other players the platform to get on the attack more.

He added: “We’ve played a few times at the back against Manchester City away and teams like that. We played good stuff and sometimes teams play really defensively but with having three out and out defenders, it’s almost easier for the team to attack.

“I don’t really want to run forward. Marcin doesn’t and the skipper doesn’t either, so at any given point we have three defenders if things do go a bit pear shaped.

“That gave the team a bit more freedom to attack. Certainly Jeff Schlupp and whoever plays on the right like Marc Albrighton have done great at helping the defenders too.”

A rather very clever signing.

With Huth known for understanding the threat of set-plays at higher level than most of our other defenders, and considering our recent past history (couple of years or so) with struggling to deal with set pieces - the stats in that we haven't conceded many at all (bar Chelsea) prove the effectiveness of him alone.
