thybluefox Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 On paper it sounds like a pretty unexciting signing. In reality though it will be one of the most important signings this summer.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Considering he is one of the main reasons we are still in this division, 3 million pounds would be a steal. Obviously it helps that he only has 1 year remaining on his contract at Stoke, if he was under a heavier contract then I think we would be looking at a fee of around double the 3 million pounds suggested. Get this deal over the line quickly before other premier league clubs come sniffing.
kingcarr21 Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 http://www.first4lcfc.co.uk/blog/leicester-set-to-complete-the-signing-of-in-demand-defender/ According to this its a done deal. Not exactly Sky Sports but if this is to be believed then £3m is an absolute steal

MPH Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Nigel Pearson is brilliant at transfers He's brilliant at identfying the players we need

Not exactly Sky Sports but if this is to be believed then £3m is an absolute steal First4lcfc literally just rehash any transfer story that involves lcfc.... not that this transfer won't happen but I will wait till a more credible source reports it
Finn Claw II Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 I'd be very surprised if he isn't our first signing. Get it done Nigel! £3m seems about right given age, position and contract length.
Babylon Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Deary me... how the rumour mill works. Starts off at could go for £3m and ends up at almost done, fee agreed of £3m.
HitchinFox Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 http://www.first4lcfc.co.uk/blog/leicester-set-to-complete-the-signing-of-in-demand-defender/ According to this its a done deal. Not exactly Sky Sports but if this is to be believed then £3m is an absolute steal I love First4LCFC. Really do. The man has 14 caps for Germany (including a World Cup), he's a two-time Premier League champion with Chelsea and one of the major contributors to our survival. How do they describe him? "Former Watford and Norwich City target Robert Huth".
Ashley Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Who runs First4Lcfc I swear they post on this forum who ever you are please stop.
LCCFox96 Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 4 career appearances outside the top flight, playing week in week out (since Chelsea) says everything about the calibre of defender we are getting. Get it done!
WiFoxes Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 http://m.stokesentinel.co.uk/Stoke-City-Huth-poised-pound-3m-Potters-farewell/story-26576852-detail/story.html GERRIM IN! Please make this happen. To me, Huth needs to be the first signing. Get him taken care of, then move on to Esteban/Esteban's replacement. The team has shown it's dangerous as is, and we can't afford to be weakened in either of those two spots.
AKCJ Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 3m is an absolute steal. I don't believe we'll get him for anything under 5m.
LCCFox96 Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 3m is an absolute steal. I don't believe we'll get him for anything under 5m. With Wollschied in for £2.5mil they can fund his deal and add £500k to their transfer kitty, as well as getting a player surplus to requirements (god knows why he is though!) off the wage bill if they sell us Huth for £3mil. I can't see them putting up much, if any, resistance if we have offered that!
Tielemans63 Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 3m is an absolute steal. I don't believe we'll get him for anything under 5m. I agree although he only has 12 months left on his contract so it's not in Stoke's interest to push hard for a big transfer fee as he could eventually leave for nowt and he's not in first team contention anyway. I really think £3 million is a good deal for all involved.
bovril Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 If this is true then it's one of our biggest ever signings in my opinion. It gives us a huge boost for next season.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Can't see Stoke putting up much of a fight if we have offered 3 mill. I doubt anything has even been spoken about between the clubs at this stage but 3 mill sounds about right anyway given his age, status at the club & contract length. I have no doubt about Huth coming here. He/we have been excellent since he has been at the back for us. I think even if we got just him & Esteban in for next season, we would stay up. (That's not me saying we shouldn't sign anyone else, that's me saying our current squad with those 2 is good enough to stay in this league next season) We have one of the longest standing managers in the Premiership, great owners & a very good aura around the club at the moment. I very much think we are destined for success in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I would hope that we've been lining this deal up with Stoke for weeks on the assumption that we're staying up. It would be daft if we waited for the season to end before making our move when we could've had a fee agreed long before the season ended.
AyewJoking Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 All Stoke need is another bidder to increase the price.

Yeee I though after I posted and read back it would be a bit strange to not have done something as soon as we secured our premiership status. Just Pearson usually talks about something once agreed and the club have been silent about the matter as of yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
