RobHawk Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Good lad! Bet he's well chuffed! Well deserved and he's one player i would love to see in an england shirt giving defenders hell!
kingcarr21 Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 This is great news for Jamie and LCFC. Manchester United fans seem pleased as well http://www.redcafe.net/threads/james-vardy-considered-for-england-call-up.397123/ Bitter c^nts That thread started when Vardy slaughtered them at the KP and doesnt even talk about him getting his actual call up
Finnaldo Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 I don't think I'll ever celebrate an England goal as much as if Vardy scores tbh
MrSpaM Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 I don't think I'll ever celebrate an England goal as much as if Vardy scores tbh This!
Tielemans63 Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 I always said Roy Hodgson was a great choice as England coach
Freesolo Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Wow! just Wow! This is totally surprising to me, Jamie must pinching be himself, Well done though pal you have come a long way in your career and its pretty amazing if you think about where you have come from
weller54 Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Big surprise!!... Then again the National team is short on options.. Good on the lad!!!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Excellent, proper made up for Vards! Can't wait to see him play in an England shirt
Guest seanfox778 Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 All the bitter people on Twitter have hardly seen him play. Crying for Ashley Young as if he's Ronaldo? What's wrong with them?
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 100% player, deserves everything that is coming his way, got there by sheer hard work, well done Jamie
cjslcfc Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 All the negative comments are coming from people who don't watch him regularly. All they see is 4 goals and they go mental. He's only got 8 assists though. So has some lad called Eden Hazard as well... He's not good enough with a fully fit England squad. However, with the state of the squad as it is (u21s and injuries), I can fully see why he's got a call up. He'll prove everyone wrong just like he's proven lots of us wrong. Problem with him playing at international level is the tempo won't suit his style, unless Roy decides to bring in a high tempo, energy based plan.
Finnaldo Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 If there's not an airing of 'Jamie Vardy, Engnd's no.9' against QPR I'll be bitterly disappointed
Footballwipe Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 If Jay Bothroyd can get an England cap then so can Vardy. Fantastic news, why do people seem to think caps are precious things only to be given out to the elite? These games are against Ireland and Slovenia, not exactly the World Cup semi-finals. A great opportunity to stamp his mark and if it doesn't work out then the experience alone for him will be so memorable. He's the epitomie of this team for me. Hard working and never giving up despite the bad times he's had back in 12/13 and his dip in form earlier this season.
Callabinho Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 He's getting slagged off to **** on Twitter , why can't wankers be happy for the lad he's deserved it Once they see him in the shirt and see his tenacity and drive to beat every man to every ball, they will soon see why Roy has called him up!
RowlattsFox Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Really he hope he shuts a few people up! Everyone just looking at 4 goals and thinking he's crap. Pretty sure we'd be the sabe though if he played for someone else.
CosbehFox Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 All the bitter people on Twitter have hardly seen him play. Crying for Ashley Young as if he's Ronaldo? What's wrong with them? The same Ashley Young who plays on the wing hence folk should be moaning about Walcott's selection. The same Ashley Young with Achilles problems and wants a rest from football. Welbeck's got 4 PL goals this season. We have the biggest England prospects in a competition atmosphere of the Under 21s. Half of these idiots don't think before they type on twitter. Vardy has the highest number of assists for English striker in the PL.
lgfualol Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Aah, the backlash at him being chosen. It is lovely to read people's views based on the handful of games they've probably watched Vardy in and off his goal scoring stats. Bunch of *****.
Marmite Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Sunderland fan not happy http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/jamie-vardy-in-the-england-squad.1080703/page-3
weller54 Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Hope he manages to match Nugent's England appearances!!...
cjslcfc Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 It's alright. The same people will be lapping him up on Twitter when he's relentlessly running down international defenders and creating space for others with his runs into the channels.
MooseBreath Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Probably warrants it on stats alone with Kane, Ings and Berahino all with the u21s. The same number of goals as Welbeck and up there in the assists table. Then there's his work rate as a bonus. Hope he tears up the friendlies like we know he can and gives the hodgemeister something to think about for the future.
Finnaldo Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Just imagine, an England player who'll give his all for the shirt out of National pride rather than a fat cheque.
