Captain... Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Daniels is a good left back anyway so I can't see Mings being a huge loss, he was quality for them last season. I assume it'll be a front four of Atsu Wilson Kerm/King Ritchie for them now. Not a the worst case scenario for them. However if they lose another full back or winger then they will be looking a bit worse off. Didn't he go off injured too? Or was that only as a precaution?

Long Eaton Fox Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 On deadline day did anyone see the interview with Bradley Johnson on EMT sport, referred to his new club as Derby City
Freesolo Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 I noticed in the transfer window that Watford signed 13 new players and sold 8, they also loaned in 3 players and loaned out 9. So that is 15 new faces in and 17 of the old squad shipped off. Do you guys think that this massive change in the the squad is going to be a disaster? Not one of the player they brought in is British and only 3 come from English ClubsIt seem's completely insane to basically get a new unproven squad to play together for the first time in your first Prem season.Does anyone disagree and think it is a gamble because they knew their current promotion squad was odds on to go down?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 They've signed some top players, but I've got no idea what they're thinking with giving the likes of Prodl a 4 year contract and signing Ibarbo. I think they're the strongest out of the teams that have come up though, but honestly with the way Bournemouth and Norwich have recruited it isn't saying much.
StanSP Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 24 players not sure why James and Hamer are there though. why wouldn't they be? If they weren't, we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot and look like right idiots if they are both available by January and find out they can't play because they weren't registered.
StokeFan Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 On deadline day did anyone see the interview with Bradley Johnson on EMT sport, referred to his new club as Derby City Seems to have been forced out by the Norwich board/management. That said, he's 28 and they've paid 6.5 million. High end of the price spectrum that is for a player of his quality. I predict the bottom 3 is going to be a tight one this year.
FireFox Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 24 players not sure why James and Hamer are there though. We only have 24 out of 25, why not include them? Hamer can be recalled. If James is fit to play before the new year, would he be able to play with the U21s if he wasn't included on this?
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 The three for relegation I think will be: 'Little' Bournemouth. Maxi will be a huge loss. Watford (too many changes) Blunderland...cos they're shite. However, I think West Brom are also poor this season. Newcastle and Villa I think will be safe.
Wymsey Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 I actually think it's a weaker league in some ways. Around 12 could potentially get relegated.
Swalker Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Watford will be bottom of the league. Norwich will be alright and I see us from last year in Bournemouth! Sunderlands' luck will run out and will finally go down, Newcastle and Villa will implode and struggle. Also, slightly long shot but I'm not convinced by West Ham yet with the record of when Big Sam leaves a club and they get relegated, plus two great and two poor results for them show remarkable inconsistency! 14-Norwich 15-West Ham 16-Villa 17-Bournemouth -------------------- 18-Newcastle 19-Sunderland 20-Watford
Freesolo Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 the league is strange this season, can see Man City winning it by Christmas, but all the other top teams i feel are beatable if they are not on their game, teams like Southampton, Swansea, us stoke, everton etc are going to win more points, i think you will need at least 42 to stay up this year and maybe a surprise is who gets the European spots, Swansea could surprise I would love to see it too

Swalker Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 I think Newcastle will be alright, just.. Their disciplinary is shocking which won't help them get a run going. But if they get caught on a bad run, their fans will turn and become frustrated that despite all the money they've spent, they still haven't progressed! Plus I've never rated Shteve
The Horse's Mouth Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 They've signed enough quality to stay up, they're much better than Villa and the like.
Dan Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Sunderland's ineptness will keep at least one of the promoted three up. I stand by Watford will stay up.
Steven Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 So Kermo to Bournemouth's rescue then. I hear he is decent.
Xen Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Some seasons, for the teams who go down it will be because they weren't good enough for the PL This year, there are 7-8 teams who aren't really good enough for the prem, but 4-5 of those will survive just because the others happen to be even more inept than they are. Seriously, the quality at the bottom of the table this year is shocking. Sunderland are pitiful, Newcastle are pretty awful and have poor discipline, Villa struggled last year and sold their best players without fully replacing them, Bournemouth are relative minnows anyway and have had some pretty unfortunate injuries to key players, Norwich haven't strengthened a lot, Watford have made too many changes, West Brom are nothing special other than Berahino... It just seems much, much weaker at the bottom end than it's ever been before. How on earth we were ever favourites for relegation is beyond me.
AyewJoking Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Who knows whats gonna happen? Someone may be all but down and then win 7 of their last 9. crazy i know but it might happen.
steveherbe Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Just been announced that Bournemouths Tyrone Mings is out for 12 months, done his knee ligaments trying to compete with our DannyD. Bad luck, but maybe another nail in the Bournemouth coffin?
AKCJ Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Nprwich dont have the strength in depth needed...Bournemouth will be plucky but shit...Sunderland are just shit.
StokeFan Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 What's the aim for Leicester then, in your opinion? Considering last years last gasp survival, I assume building is the key and you've signed some damned good players, so anything from 15th - 10th?

Yeah 15th to 10th I would say could be a realistic goal for us. Like you said we've strengthened very well in the summer, comfortable survival would be good.
