Wymsey Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 **** me. That's them almost certain to go down now.
Captain... Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 To be fair anyone pinning their hopes of survival on Tyrone Mings is fvcked anyway.
MC Prussian Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Feel for Mings - from what I recall, didn't he just fall very awkwardly at first without contact from a Leicester player, then twisted his knee in the process? Oh my, bad luck is only the surname.
Fox92 Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Wasn't it his debut too? Reminds me of Snodgrass at Hull last season.
The Doctor Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Feel for Mings - from what I recall, didn't he just fall very awkwardly at first without contact from a Leicester player, then twisted his knee in the process? Oh my, bad luck is only the surname. Collided with Drinkwater in a 50/50 didn't he?
ScouseFox Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 To be fair anyone pinning their hopes of survival on Tyrone Mings is fvcked anyway. haha deffo this. they could've had twelve tyrone mings fit for every game they'd still have finished bottom
StanSP Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 oh fvck that's nasty. Wasn't it his debut too? Reminds me of Snodgrass at Hull last season. Nah. He mentioned something on Twitter that it was his 2nd appearance. Cos for his 2nd appearance at Ipswich he also suffered a really bad injury.
MC Prussian Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Collided with Drinkwater in a 50/50 didn't he? Sort of, but then he fell rather awkwardly - I don't think Drinkwater was in any way an active part of the process. A regular tussle for the ball with a tragic outcome for one of the player involved.
Father Ted Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Sort of, but then he fell rather awkwardly - I don't think Drinkwater was in any way an active part of the process. A regular tussle for the ball with a tragic outcome for one of the player involved. Mings' injury had nothing to do with how he fell. Drinkwater's follow through jarred his standing leg. And you blast me in another thread about if I even support this club when it seems like you haven't even seen the highlights
Donut Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Very bad injury, but his signing cannot be described as anything but a complete waste of money.
MPH Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Mings being injured is one thing... But gradel being out until next year... That's them relegated for sure...
TJB-fox Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Gradel is a huge loss, looked impressive so far.
jammie82uk Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 oh fvck that's nasty. Nah. He mentioned something on Twitter that it was his 2nd appearance. Cos for his 2nd appearance at Ipswich he also suffered a really bad injury. He played in the cup in the week but It was his prem debut
Merging Cultures Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 I don't like to see any players injured as it is their careers that are at risk (even though the clubs and players are both insured against serious injury). But I am pleased Bournemouth are now seriously weakened. It's one team we shouldnt have to worry about.

Ric Flair Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Playing dreadful at the minute. Again our board has refused to significantly invest in the squad, which was severely needed with the loss of key players (net spend of 8 million in 3 seasons now). The fans were promised a big summer in terms of "next level " signings which only shaqiri fits that Bill. Should of lost at Norwich but should of beaten spurs and drawn against Liverpool. We were will the team on top with 9 men against WBA. After finishing 9 consecutively whilst spending peanuts, it put us in a great position to realy invest and push 6-7th, didn't happen though. It's going to be a struggle to achieve top 10 again with so many teams improving ( west ham, Swansea palace and yourselves )but when the new players van ginkle and bojan gel who knows. J think Leicester are playing tremendously ATM and can be seen as serious contenders for top 10 Aren't Shakiri, Afellay and Van Ginkel next level signings? All of them are surely an improvement on what you already had such as Walters who wants out. I think you've strengthened well without blowing stupid money but you needed to replace N'Zonzi, that's where someone like Cabaye would have been superb or even Alex Song when he's fit. It does seem odd how certain teams seem less prepared to spend money once they've properly established themselves in the PL, but perhaps it's because there's little in it for the owners if you finish 7th or 11th. The Europa League is a pain for most clubs and unless you're going to get in the top 4 then you're kind of in limbo for teams like Stoke, Everton and a few others.

filbertway Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Daniels is a good left back anyway so I can't see Mings being a huge loss, he was quality for them last season. I assume it'll be a front four of Atsu Wilson Kerm/King Ritchie for them now. Not a the worst case scenario for them. However if they lose another full back or winger then they will be looking a bit worse off.
Soar Fox Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 So is Schwarzer in the 25 man squad? That's 2 websites that say he isn't.
StokeFan Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 TBH your own players allowed him to have that with 2 moments of madness (from a game you would have won otherwise) The only mistake he made was not sending off the WBA player for reacting but really no-one at Stoke should have any complaints about those red cards. Just silly behaviour from players who should know better.. Unfortunately, what Match of the Day shows doesn't necessarily represent how the game went. Oliver was well and truly giving everything to West Brom. He and Hughes have history and it's not the first time he's come to Stoke and give some strange decisions. A few minutes before the Afellay red, Dawson shoved him into the advertising boards while OFF the pitch. Completely unnecessary. Instead of ticking off the West Brom player, he bollocked Afellay for having a go at Dawson. He's a very poor referee in my opinion. He's your typical celebrity referee, as per most of his coverage last season. He's still the only referee in the last 3 seasons to give a penalty for holding..... against Stoke, yet weeks later he was allowing it to go on in a different game. He's a career ref. The new 'young' referee come good. Oh how I miss Howard Webb. The level of refereeing is poor right now. No surprise he didn't send off the West Brom player. He gave them everything that day, I was wondering at times how much that brown envelope in his sports bag contained. Aren't Shakiri, Afellay and Van Ginkel next level signings? All of them are surely an improvement on what you already had such as Walters who wants out. I think you've strengthened well without blowing stupid money but you needed to replace N'Zonzi, that's where someone like Cabaye would have been superb or even Alex Song when he's fit. The Europa League is a pain for most clubs and unless you're going to get in the top 4 then you're kind of in limbo for teams like Stoke, Everton and a few others. Shaqiri is a next level signing for sure. Hmm, Afellay has blown hot and cold for a few seasons now. Seems to have constant injury troubles. Hopefully we can get the best out of him though. Van Ginkel is the one where time will tell. I think Cabaye is too small and lightweight to do N'Zonzi's job. Song would have been good though.
Xen Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 So is Schwarzer in the 25 man squad? That's 2 websites that say he isn't. Yes. Official PL site has him on it: http://m.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/article.030915-2015-2016-premier-league-squads-announced.html
