Surely if you get a yellow in a cup game it doesn't count towards your 5, 10 etc. suspensions in the league? Suspect you're right but don't see the logic behind the rule if that's true.

They count for any domestic competition, so league and cup games. European games are separate.

We always want other teams to draw. that way, the most we can lose on any side is a point. to be truthful, our season is against the hammers rather than Man city so we should want man city to win.
