davieG Posted 25 October 2015 Author Posted 25 October 2015 From the Independent Mike Dean gets it right Leicester fans often bulk when they discover Mike Dean is to officiate their next Premier League game. The 47-year-old is an unpopular figure in the East Midlands and was even branded the ‘most arrogant man I have ever met’ by former boss Nigel Pearson last season. But Foxes fans – and neutrals for that matter – should commend Dean for penalising Wilfried Zaha after a ridiculous dive in the latter moments at the King Power Stadium. It would have been far easier for any official to award a penalty to the visitors than risk the wrath of yet another top flight manager. Alan Pardew, the Eagles’ boss, perhaps tellingly refused to be drawn on the topic. “We know for us to get any decisions, they need to be cast in iron,” he said before swiftly leaving the media suite. Video replays have since appeared to vindicate Dean for his decision, but Palace supporters will argue that he would have given a free-kick if it had happened further up the field of play. The jury is always out.
foxfanazer Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Norwich look in real trouble now. Battered by Newcastle and beaten by the most boring side in the league. Watford look far more likely to beat the drop at present
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Norwich look in real trouble now. Battered by Newcastle and beaten by the most boring side in the league. Watford look far more likely to beat the drop at present This. Was thinking the same earlier. Watford have far more up front in Deeney and Ighalo.
Guest ttfn Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Wasn't sure where to put this but we've got as many points the day the clocks went back as we did last year when the clocks went forward.
foxes161 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 can watch the manchester derby today with enjoyment after yesterday
foxfanazer Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 This. Was thinking the same earlier. Watford have far more up front in Deeney and Ighalo. And they can keep a clean sheet
Fox92 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Norwich look in real trouble now. Battered by Newcastle and beaten by the most boring side in the league. Watford look far more likely to beat the drop at present Who are the most "boring side" in the league? West Brom? They certainly know how to keep a clean sheet and it'll be tough for us on Saturday.
foxfanazer Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Who are the most "boring side" in the league? West Brom? They certainly know how to keep a clean sheet and it'll be tough for us on Saturday. I'd say they are yeah. Who would you say are? Yeah not doubting they are solid at the back, could be a frustrating afternoon.
Fox92 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 I'd say they are yeah. Who would you say are? Yeah not doubting they are solid at the back, could be a frustrating afternoon. Newcastle, Stoke, Swansea ? .. Can't stand watching either of those when they are on Sky.
ElusiveEd Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 There's a comment in one of the newspapers game reports........ "Leicester have 19 points on the day the clocks go back. last season they had 19 points on the day the clocks went forward" Brilliant if true.
foxfanazer Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Newcastle, Stoke, Swansea ? .. Can't stand watching either of those when they are on Sky.I know but come on. Even their name bores me to tears

Matt Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Sherwood gone. Gutted. Pearson please don't go there, please!
Foxymcoxy Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Damn, that's bad news for anyone who is still looking at survival first. Who will they get? Can they get Moyes as is being talked about? Might they go for Pearson?
MPH Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Sherwood gone. Gutted. Pearson please don't go there, please! Had a dream Friday night that he was sacked, replaced with Pearson and Pearson said he was "proud to be at the biggest club in the midlands"
Leicesterpool Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Not Surprised six defeats on the trott is dreadful. Sherwood is a nice guy a good coach but not a good enough manager. Villa are in a mess, I just don't know how or who can save them from there current mess. Villa's recent demise is not down to the managers but the chairman and people who work in the board room. Pearson I think it's a likely appointment.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 I'm crying like Tim in an interview at that news.
Ozwin Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 I do want to see Pearson back in football tbf. Would be a good move but can see them going for a big name this time.
Leicesterpool Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Bad news folks Tim will probably get a job on Match Of The Day now.
