ScouseFox Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Celebrating a goal by running onto the pitch is excessive. Most grounds make it very clear that going on the pitch is an arrestable offence which may result in a ban. You choose to ignore it, go on the pitch, get banned - no right to complain really, is there? Thick as shit football fans in "ignoring the rules and paying the price" shocker. the way the away end at bournemouth is and the fact a lot of fans were leaving meant quite a few spilt on to the pitch uncontrollably. if you see most away ends at bournemouth there will be fans on the pitch when a goal is scored. excessive bans for a lot of fans is ridiculous just for celebrating a goal. bare in mind that away criteria for a game like bournemouth would place these as everton's most loyal of fans, too.
lifted*fox Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 I've just watched the video again dude - there is no way they accidentally spilled onto the pitch, . They'll have to continue being Everton's most loyal of fans in the pub from now on then - probably should have considered that before jumping over the advertising boards. Plenty of other teams have scored there and fans have managed to hold shit down and stay behind the boards - why was it so difficult for them? Not quite sure what the merit is in defending their actions tbh.
KFS Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Plenty of other teams have scored there and fans have managed to hold shit down and stay behind the boards - why was it so difficult for them? We didn't
goose2010 Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Wayne Rooney turning into Elvis "Ankle" Hammond: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/35006347 Rojo also out for a while with a dislocated shoulder - makes you wonder how Manchester United manage to have so many injured players at the same time. Simply bad luck or a result of a bad training regime? It has to be down to the training, I was thinking the same about Arsenal the amount of injuries these to get make our players look like robots! We have had one serious injury in about the last 3 years!

TheMightySystem Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Schmeichel was out for a few months last year too. Upson was out for half a year. Matty James obviously. Didn't Upson only play 3 games for us? Thought he was injured practically the whole year.
StanSP Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Schmeichel was out for a few months last year too. Upson was out for half a year. Matty James obviously. James got injured during a match though?
Captain... Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Seeing more and more people bitching and moaning about Vardy not having the real record, and how we shouldn't just have records for the premier league era. Getting a bit boring now, the premier league era is a neat way to define modern football, it was a paradigm shift and should be recognised. The records that Vardy broke were specific to them as he broke them. Most consecutive games scored in by an Englishman in the premier league, after passing Danil Sturridge, then most consecutive games scored in, in the Premier league, next record is the English top flight, then in the English league, then in UEFA, then all professional leagues in the World. It makes the story more interesting if there is a record involved, even if a little tenuous, it is not just ignoring everything that happened before 1992. As you will see if Vardy scores today and equals the English top flight record.

The only people spouting crap about football starting way before 1992 are all very jealous that little old Leicester and little old Vardy has gone on to break a quite remarkable record. These are the same type of people who also spout crap that the premier league is the best league in the world. Was having a conversation with a mate at work and he agreed if the media darlings Rooney or Kane had broken the record people especially the papers wouldn't have bloody shut up about it. Both would have been nominated for sports personality of the year i.e Andy bloody Murray who as a team player won the Davis cup for Great Britain and he gets nominated? So much for the team? The only things I have read from the gutter press is not about what a brilliant achievement this is but Vardy is a racist thug. I notice Too that the current England manager hasn't said anything, which also brings it into perspective doesn't it.

It's because of his past and people's, the media's and the pundits' perception of him coming across as a bit of a one-hit wonder. The belittling begins when the comparisons are made to Van Nistelrooy, Shearer, Wright, Anelka, Henry, Bergkamp, et al. Because they've all been prolific over several seasons in a row, so in the people's eyes, Vardy still has a long way to go to reach those echelons. It's as if he's automatically disqualifying or something. Like I've already said, it's down to perception and the overall portrayal in the media and what rubbish pundits have come up with in the past. It manages to cast a mist over Vardy's achievement(s). I, for one, am glad we've got Vardy and that he's doing so well - just like the rest of the team. Long may it continue. No matter what the others think, we can be proud of where we are right now.
Matt Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 Arsene Wenger believes Alexis Sanchez could have been "killed" when he landed in a Carrow Road camera pit against Norwich last weekend. He could have been seriously injured i'll give you that but killed you do love abit of over-egging situation's Arsene. I must say though i've noticed these pits at several grounds in the past and been surprised they're allowed because of the potential situation of players falling into them, Man City's for example seem very close to the pitch.

Actually, I quite agree with what he is saying; he could've been hurt internally if he collided slightly more faster than he did.

More likely to be killed being pushed into a heavy camera stood in a pit than you are having ball booted at the back of your head like Sir Alex hyberboled over happening to RVP a couple of years back. Like Wymesy said he could have been very seriously injured and received any number of internal injuries had something fell on him or he hit part of the camera in the wrong place or fell over and smashed his head on concrete. All in all it was monumentally stupid of Ryan Bennett to shove him like that.
MC Prussian Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 I doubt we'd want him at Leicester City FC.
Matt Posted 5 December 2015 Posted 5 December 2015 poor defending I've always said 1 man doesn't make a team but they're shite in defence without Kompany, bloody awful, I hope he's still injured for a few weeks yet for when we play them.
