EnglishOxide Posted 9 January 2016 Posted 9 January 2016 I'm not commenting on his ability or attitude, however if Wright slated him on TV, why should he have to defend himself over the phone? He may have wanted to publicly explain whatever point he had to make, to the people he had just been slated in front of. Hypocrisy from Ian Wright imo! Wright did his job on Match of the Day. He's supposed to analyse. Wright only suggested a phone call because Richards was taking it too badly. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/29/aston-villas-micah-richards-responds-to-ian-wrights-criticism-on/ http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/30/ian-wright-continues-war-of-words-with-aston-villas-micah-richar/
Samilktray Posted 9 January 2016 Posted 9 January 2016 I've never had the impression that Micah Richards has a bad attitude
weller54 Posted 9 January 2016 Posted 9 January 2016 Best advice I have to Villa is to fire Garde and get in Pearson now ahead of the Championship season. MON Quit. He's as much use as a chocolate 'fire garde '!
Danno Posted 9 January 2016 Posted 9 January 2016 Remember when people were calling for the likes of Allardyce, Pulis, Garde and Lennon to manage us hahaha
Richard Posted 9 January 2016 Posted 9 January 2016 Ian Wright the other week perfectly reasonably and correctly criticised his defending. Richards came out on Twitter giving it the big un at him saying he was wrong and this that and the other. Wright had to tell him not to air this stuff on Twitter and to just call him if he wanted. He's supposed to be the captain, but he doesn't take justified criticism well and I get the impression he thinks he's better than he is just because he played for Man City. Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair don't seem to have that same 'big I am' attitude. At least Richards cares about his performances, Sinclair especially went to City purely for the pay check aged what 21? Still, Richards is a shite defender
theessexfox Posted 9 January 2016 Posted 9 January 2016 Remember when people were calling for the likes of Allardyce, Pulis, Garde and Lennon to manage us hahaha Remember when Cotterill was favourite? Thought his comments were embarrassing today.
Donut Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Allardyce and Pulis are good managers. Theyre not Claudio yeah thats fair, but then again its not often a team can do a Leicester with anyone in charge and go from 14th to 2nd in the Premier League either
ScouseFox Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Allardyce and Pulis are good managers. Theyre not Claudio yeah thats fair, but then again its not often a team can do a Leicester with anyone in charge and go from 14th to 2nd in the Premier League either nobody who finishes 14th has ever tried to finish nearer the top though, mainly due to managers like pulis and allardyce. they will happily finish 12th-17th every single year no matter what the aim, what the talent at their disposal is. they would never, ever try and attack and win games. more teams could go from mid table to challenge europe (like us) if they got managers who tried to do that.
Danno Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Remember when Cotterill was favourite? Thought his comments were embarrassing today.oh god that was horrendous. Remember when lennon should be our manager and Kramaric was gonna be our top scorer with 20 goals was a common opinion on here
Guest BlueBrett Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 To be fair to Remi Garde, apart from today the ten games since he's taken charge have been bloody tough ones. On the other hand he doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Seems a bit of a wet blanket really.

Guest BlueBrett Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 really?! their last 4 games have been newcastle, west ham, sunderland & norwich. you'd probably struggle to pick a much easier run of 4 games in premier league history. 3 of those were away from home against relegation rivals. Not at all easy when you're down there and especially when you consider that these games which would be run of the mill in normal circumstances were in effect 6 pointers and came so early on in his tenure. West Ham rediscovering a bit of form as well recently and Villa actually looked sort of ok that day managing to secure a point.
Soar Fox Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 The truth still hasn't been exposed has it? O'Neill was on Goals on Sunday last month and they even asked him then about leaving Villa but he didn't answer the question. Villa fans slated him for leaving a load of first team players out of there Uefa cup match against CSKA Moscow prioritising the league over it. Aston Villa then made him have a Q&A night & a 3 course meal for every fan that went to Moscow that night. Someone asked him a question that he didn't like and he basically said, he shouldn't have to justify himself to anyone and he didn't want to be there and the reason he was because the club forced him into it. People started swearing at him and telling them how much it had cost to go out there etc. MON replied with he didn't force them to go there, then just walked out.
Dan Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Villa are more likely to go down again than bounce back up.
VLC86 Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 To be fair to Remi Garde, apart from today the ten games since he's taken charge have been bloody tough ones. On the other hand he doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Seems a bit of a wet blanket really. It's the premier league not Sunday league, we were never as hopeless and woeful despite being bottom last season. Appointing Garde and telling him he will be there even if they go down is madness, what experience does he have of the championship? League 1 beckons Villa.
Dan Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 3 of those were away from home against relegation rivals. What fixtures out of interest would you consider to be easier than those? Garde's ruined his own reputation by going there.
Donut Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 I suppose if Villa can persuade the few good players they have got like Gil, Grealish and tell him to get his head right, Amavi, Sinclair, these are decent players. Get a few experienced championship type players around them, a couple they already have in Gestede, Nathan Baker, they may do reasonable next season. Or they could go down. There will be no middle ground. But id heard a lot about Villa seemingly "preparing for the championship" in the january window on the radio and you have to ask why they didnt get a championship type manager in. No disrespect to Remi Garde but he had a situation that he was not going to turn around and realistically, is he the best man to get the club back to the Premier League? id suggest not. Im surprised that type of job appealed to him in the first place.
Charl91 Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 To be fair to Remi Garde, apart from today the ten games since he's taken charge have been bloody tough ones. On the other hand he doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Seems a bit of a wet blanket really. Pretty much every game is bloody tough in this league. There's only one or two teams that almost guarantee you a win, and Villa can't exactly play themselves.
filbertway Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 based on what? Speaks well and seems a decent lad from what I've seen of him Did you watch the game? He barely moved and looked like he would rather ne anywhere else. His best days are long gone.
Tielemans63 Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Bournemouth 'susbtansial' bid for Afobe accepted by Wolves. I always think Benik Afobe sounds like a tropical disease. 'I'm afraid I have some bad news Mrs Jones' 'Oh God what is it Doctor?' 'Its about your husband Mrs Jones, he's been diagnosed with...Benik Afobe' 'Nooooooo' I'm guessing it's just me thinks of that.
davieG Posted 10 January 2016 Author Posted 10 January 2016 Not sure if this will work. Will he get a life time ban? look at the panicky stewards faces Walcott shows how football should/could be.... https://www.facebook.com/Arsenal/videos/10153610073807713/
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Villa just need a new owner, new manager, new backroom staff, new squad and new fans and they'll be alright
Guest Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Fans are so short term over managers. How anyone can judge a manager after taking over a team during the season befuddles me.
Rasmic123 Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 I suppose if Villa can persuade the few good players they have got like Gil, Grealish and tell him to get his head right, Amavi, Sinclair, these are decent players. From what i've seen of richards this season, he is one of their players who can hold his head slightly high as he's put in some decent shifts (including against us, thought he was excellent).

It's the premier league there isn't a single game that isn't a tough one. I think Villa have gone already, they just haven't been competitive, at least we were in almost every game last season.
