MC Prussian Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I had a lot of respect for Bournemouth at the start of the season because of the healthy mix and depth in squad - although featuring a lot of unknowns, the team spirit carried them all the way. Eddie Howe must be kicking himself seeing the chairman signing all these expensive attacking players, going detrimental to what the club and its recent success was actually build upon - you'd think these decisions are made without the manager's consent.
EnglishOxide Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Shouldn't they use money to improve their garbage ground? **** that. They are doing it right. The PL pays, you might as well invest that money in the squad as much as the facilities. I'd rather they do things this way than do what Dyche and Burnley did, tuck the money away and then piss and moan about being outspent. Yes, they are overpaying for players but I don't understand why people are so bitter? We've got nothing to be jealous about when it comes to them. Clubs at this level don't survive on gate receipts anymore. Get over it. There's only 2 more relegation spots up for grabs and Sunderland look unlikely to climb out of theirs, so in reality its only one spot and Bournemouth are just as capable as anybody else of avoiding it, meaning big prize money at the end of the season. I've got no issue with Bournemouth. Decent manager, well coached and a likeable team.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 7m on a pile of sh*te and people act like Bournemouth have got here on handouts like they have had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for the last few years. Far from the truth
FireFox Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 They'll just end up getting injured. And then they'll be told to run it off. Spending that kind of money on players is a waste without the proper medical and sports science teams.
Long Eaton Fox Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Seem to remember they just drew with us and played very well first half. I like them and enjoyed their football. Hope they stay up. Wish we would get that extra forward in when Kramaric leaves. They are going for it so I give them credit.

I don't think anyone is bitter about Bournemouth spending £8 million on Tyrone Mings, £10 million on Benik Afobe, £7 million on Lewis Grabban, £3.5 million on Lee tomlin, £4 million on Glen Murray.

Corky Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Quite ridiculous money for those players. But if it keeps them up they won't care. Hopefully the fairytale bollocks will end now, they have the resources to compete.
The Doctor Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Bournemouth are as bad at this transfer lark as Burnley, both massively over-spending on shite. 7 million on Grabban has to be as bad as 2m on Jutiwickz

People ask silly money as they know you have it.
Guest ttfn Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 shoutout @@ttfn when he said gestede was a good signingThanks for the shoutout - think I said he'd get 5 or 6 goals.Of course when it comes to football I am rarely wrong so unsurprising really. Edit: Also he's been a great signing, he's relegating Villa!
The Doctor Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 We're not immune to overpaying, I think it's a symptom of being in the prem. People ask silly money as they know you have it. In fairness we've done that once with Kramaric, who was at the time very highly rated and the top scorer in europe. Those two meanwhile are spending masses on proven flops like Marvin bloody Sordell and Lee Tomlin.
Wymsey Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Surprised West Ham don't want Kramaric. Manager is same nationality and Kram would do well alongside Carroll.
Stadt Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Surprised West Ham don't want Kramaric. Manager is same nationality and Kram would do well alongside Carroll. I think we'll sign Balotelli
Clever Fox Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Surprised West Ham don't want Kramaric. Manager is same nationality and Kram would do well alongside Carroll. That's not a bad call actually, But the fact that their not interested tells it's own story about Krameric.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Benik Afobe is a good player. Grabban...not sure. They are simply spending big to stay in the division re. Massive TV revenue next season. Big gamble....go down and they'll be pretty fooked I suspect. That said, I don't think they'll be relegated. I said that at the start of the season and haven't changed my opinion. There are worse sides in the Prem than Bournemouth IMO. Regarding owners spending money like on sweeties. That's what most of them do isn't it? See Man City and Chelsea.

Dan Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 No-one's bitter. They've just been shown up for having very little about them in the transfer market, which actually surprises me if I'm honest. They could get so much better with that kind of money.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 EDDIE HOWE CANT TALK WITHOUT TALKING THRU HIS TEETH AND FOR THAT REASON I DONT TRUST HIM
UPinCarolina Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 I think we'll sign Balotelli I shudder to think. What a willy puller.
gurru991 Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Benik Afobe is quality, I think he will do well in the prem. If Bournemouth can stay up then the the money is well spent.
AyewJoking Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Going for it, they are spending over the odds on trash Bournemouth are in the Premier League and spending shítloads #living the dream
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 I shudder to think. What a willy puller. Why is it that every time I try to write willy puller, it comes out as willy puller? Try it and you'll see.. I mean, willy puller is a funny phrase, so no biggie, but if I wanted to write willy puller why can't I?
