Clever Fox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Hopefully West Ham have no love for Spurs and don't perform to their best against us. Their chance of the top 4 is virtually gone so not a lot to play for against us. We just need to be at our best and pass the Ball better to retain possession and no free kick for Payet.
CFCFAN1 Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 The thing is, the league hasn't seen such a Spurs side for the better part of 20 years. Thanks for the assistance, but we also need to make sure we fulfill our part of the deal. I completely agree, this is the best Spurs side that I have seen in my lifetime. Perhaps everyone else's shortcomings are showing that more? Maybe. I think we will get something against them, probably a 2-2 draw because our defence is really poor. I think you'll do it even without our help!
Finn Claw II Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 The lead is still 7 points and one more game is ticked off. I see Swansea and Everton as extremely winable games, one from Chelsea, Man Utd or West Ham. 3 from 5 is incredible really.

I hope they come at us as we are much better countering than holding the ball.
midland_red Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Worst case scenario is we lose to West ham and then the gap is 4 points as their next game after that is West Brom at home which is 3 points, would put huge pressure on us to beat Swansea. Really wanted this to be wrapped up by the end of the swans game This is the sort of scenario that scares me actually - WHU are a very good side with something to play for and we haven't always been at our best lately.
Fox 4 Life Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Is Alli suspended? Or has the 10 yellow card deadline passed?Today was the last day they count but he isn't on 10 is he?I know Dier was on 9 but that will reset now.
The Doctor Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Is Alli suspended? Or has the 10 yellow card deadline passed? Today's the last day but he's only on eight
Trurofox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Look at the bright side. Champions League guaranteed Our five remaining games are against three sides who have little to play for in Swansea, Everton and Chelsea, a Manchester United side who look their worst since before Ferguson took over 30 years ago and a very good West Ham side - in which we're at home. The games are still running out for Tottenham - a seven point gaps still means they need a three game swing with tough games at Stoke, London rivals Chelsea, a Southampton side who are still fighting for a European place and a trip to St James' to play a Newcastle side who are fighting for their lives - a very different proposition to playing them at home. Remember, they don't just need to match us, they need to gain seven more points from their run in than we get from ours to overhaul us In short, they'd still rather be in our position than theirs.This.Can't for the life of me understand how man ure lost, I mean they had 53% possession.
ALC Fox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 9 more points and it's ours. If we do that, Spurs can beat who they like, it won't matter a jot. They can be the darlings of the media who will cream over Harry Kane, Alli, and Pochettino, but we'd be the best team in England. Come on City, let's get this thing won at Old Trafford!
ManWithCheese Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Give Claudio about £80 million in the summer and i can see us challenging for the Champions league next season as well then we would challence for top 5 even top 10
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Where were the suggestions for Carroll before today? if i was england manager (which i should be) the team i'd be winning the euros with (and winning every game to boot) would be dont care clyne - smalling - cahill - bertrand henderson alli - drinkwater sterling vardy - kane bench - someone in goal, stones, baines, walker, milner, theo, andy carroll wow that defence was hard to pick. we have one half good defender in our whole country god we're f ucked. probs swap carroll for kane when we remember kane is shit.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 I too suggested Carroll during one of the recent friendly games. And still do.
Babylon Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Spurs haven't won 5 games on the trot all year if that makes people feel better. Am I right in saying if they draw a game we just need two wins and a draw?
Fox 4 Life Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Spurs haven't won 5 games on the trot all year if that makes people feel better. Am I right in saying if they draw a game we just need two wins and a draw? Exactly right. They are playing very well but can't see them not dropping any points.
weller54 Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Stoke away.. Win WBA home.. Win Southampton home. Win Chelsea away.. Draw Newcastle away..win Total 78 points.
Raw Dykes Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Spurs haven't won 5 games on the trot all year if that makes people feel better. Am I right in saying if they draw a game we just need two wins and a draw? If Spurs draw a game, they'll be able to get 78 points max, so we'd need another 7 points (as they have a better goal difference). Yeah - 2 wins and a draw would do it.
ourlines Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Doesn't matter what Spurs do - Leicester are the best, most solid and deadly efficient team in the league. They have been for over a year now. So, three wins will come from the next five.Spurs will win their next two, no doubt in my mind - West Brom don't really do shocks - and Stoke's keeper looks proper average. Chelsea will beat them, I'm certain. But, they'll spank Newcastle to relegate them, I'm sure.Just focus - one match at a time. The horses are running strong and powerfully towards the finish line.
Rincewind Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Spurs haven't won 5 games on the trot all year if that makes people feel better. Am I right in saying if they draw a game we just need two wins and a draw? Yep. 3 wins to be certain. 2 wins and a draw will do if Spurs get 4 wins and a draw. I cannot see them doing that.If they only get 3 wins and a draw 2 wins or one win 2 draws. I am confusing myself with stats now. So lets just say job done.
ajthefox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Spurs haven't won 5 games on the trot all year if that makes people feel better. Am I right in saying if they draw a game we just need two wins and a draw? You are right about the last bit, but you're wrong about Spurs not winning 5 on the trot. After losing to us 1-0, they won 7 on the bounce. Two of them were fa cup, but that's still 5 in the league on the bounce anyway. They actually won their next league game too, but drew to Fiorentina and lost to Palace in the Cup in between.
leicesterfoxcity Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Let's enjoy this guys, the league is ours and that we are beating Spurs who are clearly a better footballing side makes it all the more sweeter. They will probably be challenging for years to come, we will not. But man this is fun.
TeamRocket Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Why are people thinking about spurs losing points let do it ourselves as long as we play the way we do one game at a time and not worry whats happening around who give a blue moons bottom what anyone else does. When we win the prem we would have done it on our own with no help for anyone
Rincewind Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 I can see them losing or drawing to stoke if we win next week. They have to match us each time. 10 points gap until they play. Chelsea have also found some form. Not their best but it is a derby and will up their game so that could be 10 pts giving them 75. We need one win two draws. I can see us bettering that. Even 5 draws would do. But if we win next week Spurs will know that we may be one win away so will have to go for it.
Captain... Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Today's the last day but he's only on eight He has 10 here ,http://m.tottenhamhotspur.com/first-team-profiles/dele-alli/ maybe it is 10 in all competitions 8 in the league, 2 in Europe.
