Different proposition when the chips are really down and they're at home.

They needed, and got, a win against West Ham on the last day of last season to guarantee survival.

A West Ham side who knew their manager was leaving, plus they had the genius that is John Carver in charge at that point. None of us want to go into the final day of the season needing Newcastle to gain a result.

Spurs are a top team, playing also good football..

So if it depends on outside help ..then Stoke, West Brom, Chelsea, with a sprinkling of Southampton.

No help then a simple equation...3 wins and a draw, minus anything Spurs drop.

19 1st division titles, 3 europeon cups, 11 fa cups, 4 league cups etc etc, says theyre not shit.

It doesn't say that at all. It says they used to be good.

Of course not, but let's not forget that they need to overturn a seven point gap. They almost certainly need to win all five remaining games, and hope we drop three points in three of our remaining five games, to lift the title.

We just have to do our job, we did so today and we have secured Champions League football.

As for Spurs I'm not going to be bitter, they have a good young manager and a good young team, like ourselves they deserve to be where they are.

Just hope they stay second :)

We don't need the draw. Nine points takes us to 81. Spurs can only reach 80.

Theres a downside from today?

Couldnt give a shit about tottenham, dont think we'll drop seven points in five games tbh

Just responding to those whose arses are dropping because they think we'll 'only' be four points ahead this time next week.

Even under that worst case scenario, Spurs would still need to catch us at a rate of a point a game between now and the end. Games are running out.

Mind you how excited do SKY all seem about the Dpurs win? Not in you pocket yet Ranieri. WTF?

TBF it's the statement Ranieri said about the League Championship is not in his back pocket yet.

Worst case scenario is we lose to West ham and then the gap is 4 points as their next game after that is West Brom at home which is 3 points, would put huge pressure on us to beat Swansea. Really wanted this to be wrapped up by the end of the swans game lol

Nice to see us foxes being magnanimous after MUFC gave up and allowed Cockspurs to walk it. I haven't seen much on the Frightening Cock forum that is as kind to us.

Mr positivity strikes again.

I know! It was like this during the match thread. I was more nervous reading some of the posts on here than watching the actual match

Two wins and 3 draws gives us the title and that is assuming Spurs win all 5, Spurs play great football, the best they have played for years but after 33 games they still haven't played as well as us. Lets hope United put in the same performance against West Ham and then the hammers concentrate more on the FA cup.

Does anyone know how old Alli is tomorrow?

Top quality stuff from Spurs, they look such a good team. Can see them knocking around the top 4 for the next few years if they keep that team together and Poch in charge.

Hopefully United can take West Ham all the way to pens on Wednesday but I wouldn't bet on it.

We are going to have to do it ourselves, can't see us getting too many favours, and we've done it amazingly well so far.

Kudos to Tottenham. They do play some good stuff.... We need to get over the finish line all by ourselves.
