dannythefox Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 My Arse-supporting pal says he only recently signed a year extension,so unlikely. Yes for another year but I can't see him playing for them this season.
Tuna Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 not coming back Why Esteban Cambiasso’s decision to leave Leicester is a big blow for Claudio Ranieri. The board went up and the number was 19. With Inter 2-0 down at home to Catania in March 2012, the San Siro crowd were frustrated and directed their jeers at their departing midfielder Esteban Cambiasso. Claudio Ranieri’s side did manage to scramble a point to avoid a sixth defeat in a row but Cambiasso is unlikely to have fond memories of that day. He sat on the bench in tears. “An emotional reaction due to the great love I have for my profession,” according to Cambiasso. It didn’t save him from the axe. “You’d have to ask the coach whether it was the right decision to replace someone who has won so much,” said Inter skipper Javier Zanetti. “If Ranieri makes his choices, there must be a reason.” You’d have to ask the coach whether it was the right decision to replace someone who has won so much. If Ranieri makes his choices, there must be a reason.Javier Zanetti on Esteban Cambiasso's withdrawal Inter gave up trying to figure out Ranieri’s decision-making process just weeks later. The veteran coach was replaced with Inter in eighth place - eventually finishing sixth, their lowest league finish in 13 years coming just two years after being champions of Europe. Now Ranieri finds himself at Leicester just as the wildly popular Cambiasso elects to move on. His appeal to Cambiasso fell on deaf ears. “I said to him: 'I need you. Everybody loves you in Leicester, please come back’.” But there is to be no encore. Sky Italia journalist Valentina Fass believes Cambiasso’s motivation was simple. “He didn’t have a bad relationship with Ranieri,” she told Sky Sports. “He just had other offers. From what I understand, the only thing he cares about is playing. If a manager lets him play plenty of games then he’s happy.” This might hint at the real reason for the decision to move on. From his debut display off the bench in a 1-0 win at Stoke, Cambiasso found most of his success at Leicester in Pearson’s three-man midfield. The Leicester boss dabbled with two in the middle but it was the switch to 3-5-2 that brought a late flurry of points and Premier League survival. Maybe he thought tinkerman wouldn't play him or would rotate him?
chapero82 Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Maybe he thought tinkerman wouldn't play him or would rotate him? This really depresses me
dbtcity Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Alberto Aquilani on a free anyone??? I would definitely take a punt
teblin Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Alberto Aquilani on a free anyone??? I would definitely take a punt Yep and I'd guess at some point has played under ranieri.
Ricey Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Pretty sure it's bad translation, but his brother replied to a Leicester fan calling for EC's return two days a go with: "...Time will tell. I have clear is that the player gave everything for the club, as also the fans!" I just fail to see why he would go to Villa or West Ham, it's too much of a risk. We suit him and he suits us, he's risking it if he goes elsewhere.
General Smuts Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Add to this that if they perform well and Watford get relegated, there may will be other London clubs who will come in to buy them. However, Leicester isn't that far from London - train into St Pancras doesn't take much longer than driving there from watfords training ground in London Colney. (And it's much less stressful) Plus London Colney is a shit heap

FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 If he re-signs now i will eat the contents of my cats litter tray
KFS Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 Strikes me as a proud man who wouldn't go back on his word. That being said, there's so many influencers on this deal, that could have been written by anyone.
Detroit Blues Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 If he re-signs now i will eat the contents of my cats litter tray I just feel the longer we go without a replacement for him and the longer he remains unsigned (mls, west ham, or otherwise), the more i talk myself into the possibility that he comes back after all. I know it is probably delusional, but I can rationalize it happening.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Roman Eremenko and Bibars Natkho from CSKA Moskva
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Gokhan Inler I'm calling ITK status if this happens
MC Prussian Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 You can all remove Alberto Aquilani from your own wish list now: He's signed a contract with Sporting Lisbon.
mozartfox Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Any one that does not want to play for a Bundesliga Team that was founded in 1904. Must cost a minimum of 8m euros. We replaced Junior Lewis so I am confident we can replace Esteban.

MC Prussian Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 "If possible, I want one with the same experience but younger than Cambiasso" Arturo Vidal IN Shame that he's just moved to Bayern at a bargain price of £26m.
