FoxinNotts Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Nuge is a perfectly good premier league squad member. I'd be perfectly happy to have him in the 25. I personally think we should retain 5 strikers. They can't all be starters, and unfortunately for him, Nuge fits the squad role. He has been a great player for us, big character, and deserves respect.

Corky Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Been an excellent free transfer, nearly 60 goals in four seasons (I know some were penalties as apparently they aren't real goals) and plenty of assists. The partnership with Vardy in the Championship winning season was immense. Certainly surpassed my expectations. As someone else said, a scorer of great goals rather than a genuine great goalscorer but to average 15 a season over four years is a more than respectable return.

We were in for Austin which meant Ranieri was after a new striker. It's been a while since we've heard anything. So with Nuge leaving I would guess we've agreed a deal for a new striker to replace him.

Nuge is a top lad but needs to be playing regularly which obviously isn't going to happen here anymore. If he isn't playing regularly then he won't get as good a contract at a new club next season. If he has a great season at a promotion chasing club then £££
