AKCJ Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 The hold up pretty clear to me. His kids are awaiting the results of their acceptance test for Leicester Grammar.
1972 Fox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Must admit, its pretty aggrevating that the greatest player i personally have ever seen in a Leicester shirt had a chance of staying with us ... and its possible we might of messed it up.... My thoughts exactly. Still clinging onto the hope that he will re-sign but without a Manager in place it seems unlikely to me.
Stevosevic Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Mercury saying he's waiting to see who new manager is and deal isn't dead.
Bagworthblue Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Mercury saying he's waiting to see who new manager is and deal isn't dead. beat me to it http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/new-boss-key-Cambiasso-decision/story-26864350-detail/story.html?
VLC86 Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 This is good news, Esteban and Preki go back. Proper BBFL's
Wymsey Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Surprised an MLS team aren't interested in him. Him, Lampard and Pirlo in same midfield...
Guest MattP Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Cambiasso has been waiting all his career to play under Preki
placidcasual Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Surprised an MLS team aren't interested in him. Him, Lampard and Pirlo in same midfield... They already have Mix Diskerud as well. Plus David Villa so he can't sign for NYCFCFCCFCFC
LCFC FOX Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Gerrard and Cambiasso wouldn't be a bad midfield pairing for LA either
JohnnyB Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 beat me to it http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/new-boss-key-Cambiasso-decision/story-26864350-detail/story.html? That article also mentions Gianfranco Zola as a possible Nige replacement.
weller54 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Preki's gonna swing this. Remove the word 'this '....then let's pray!
whitlock Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 If we lose Cambi because we sign some 3rd rate manager, I will be absolutely gutted.
Thracian Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Strikes me that a Ranieri/Cambiasso combination would be about as good as we can hope for. And it would seem to reflect the international outlook of the owners. Ranieri's may seem a bit "grey" from a distance but his record stands alongside all the seemingly available options so, if he's still got the desire, I can't really see a better option. I can't forsee whether we be more successful of the field than with Pearson but it strikes me that Cambiasso was at least a factor in the team spirit we developed so I'd be hopeful. I'd be more certain that the club would get its dignity back. Pearson, for all his qualities, was a loose cannon. I'm all for character and characters but our club's image has always mattered and will matter more with the ambition we have because, if all goes well, we'll be much higher profile.
spaghettilegs Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 All this time we are fannying about trying to find a new manager is giving the likes of Villa, West Ham and other English top flight clubs the chance to entice Cambo away. If he has decided he wants to do another season in the Prem, but it depends on our manager/first team football then all it will take is another teams manager to approach and offer him 1st team football. It may be enough to tempt him away with all the shit that's going on. And especially if we sign this Serbo-American tosser as our manager.
les-tah Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Basically this means Cambiasso will have the final say on who the manager is.
Joepeace09 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 If Cambiasso doesn't stay then the new manager whoever he is will not have had a good start in winning the fans over. Just let Cambi choose who he wants !
Thracian Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Les-tah sounds about right. And if so, the owners are taking a huge risk. Sacking Pearson was never going to make them popular but a reckless gamble like Preki? Well, it wouldn't have been my choice but it's their club, their money and I wish them luck.

It will be fvcking awful if we hire a manager that Cambiasso deems less appealing than Tim Sherwood.
Captain... Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Not at all in the know, but possibly the deal is signed and waiting to announce on the same day as new manager so any fans unhappy about the sacking of Pearson and not happy with new manager will at least associate new manager with Cambiasso

Freesolo Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Cambiasso is so popular Pearson might get his job back
lcfcbobby Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Cambiasso is so popular Pearson might get his job back Will he crap get his job back
sylofox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Mercury saying he's waiting to see who new manager is and deal isn't dead. Took them long enough to get this story.
