The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 July 2015 Author Posted 7 July 2015 the fact we didn't seem to have a replacement in mind should solidify the fact that it probably has nothing to do with the thai incident.
CosbehFox Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 I'm not sure how fans speculating on Foxestalk is going to cause an uneasy atmosphere. The club will go about their business in private as they always do. Pandering to speculation isn't their style and fair play to them, for me that's the right way to do it.Foxes talk is representative of the fanbase as a whole. At the moment, fans are beginning to question the decision.A short statement from the club such as ' the club has identified a shortlist of managers and will begin contacting them in due course. Thank the fans for support and patience. Current staff will continue the pre season.' That's all it has to be. No names. No targeting. At the moment it's just running along. If Pearson was to be offered a job elsewhere (supposing he's agreed to receive the payoff), we'd lose most of the coaching staff.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Is there a chance the club wanted to make sure Huth and Okazaki were signed before Pearson was sacked?
The Doctor Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 When did we "play catchup" before. When we were unprepared transfer wise and had to wait until January to correct defensive problems obvious in the championship.
DennisNedry Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Has anyone else been left with a slight sense of apathy about next season now that Pearson's gone? I still care, obviously, but am not exactly counting down the days. Still pissed at the Thais to be honest.

I still care, obviously, but am not exactly counting down the days. Still pissed at the Thais to be honest. Exactly the same. I'd love to lie and say how excited I am but all the optimism and belief has just drained out of me. I'll take next season as it comes.

Merging Cultures Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 The point is not whether the owners are good bad ...... We have sold off our footballing heritage and continue to do so......How does this work?Being Thai owned now means we can no longer talk about Filbert Street or the MON glory days?? And now we play polo instead?
Wymsey Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Just think the Thais are running before they can walk. Saying they want a stadium expansion in the next couple of years and a top-10 finish, now to this. They've moreorless shot themselves in the foot, which is sad as weeks before Pearson was sacked optimism was at a great high rate.

The outlook will change either way depending on the appointment.

I still care, obviously, but am not exactly counting down the days. Still pissed at the Thais to be honest. Not at all. There's every chance we'll have the best squad of players we've had in my 30 years of being a fan, and a decent manager

Feels really wrong tbh, as a fairly committed supporter I kind of feel obliged to be excited about each and every season

I still care, obviously, but am not exactly counting down the days. Still pissed at the Thais to be honest. Sort of. I was looking forward to this season as one of our best ever, stoked by the statement of ambition by the owners and the signings, and that's just been blown out of me, even more so with the way the manager search seems to be dying in the water.

Kind of feels like its taken the shine off last season at the moment for me too. i just cant watch videos and clips of last year without feeling a bit gutted that Nige is gone. Burnley away

The Doctor Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 lol What a drama queen It's been a week, we've seen absolutely no movement what so ever, and the links so far have been about as appetising as a rotten skunk.
Frank to be Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 It's been a week, we've seen absolutely no movement what so ever, and the links so far have been about as appetising as a rotten skunk. A week is nothing. Relax.
ARM1968 Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Apathy? No. Not at all. Whatever happens it's going to be a ride. Hopefully doesn't end like the Smiler.
The Doctor Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 A week is nothing. Relax. In pre-season it is - the longer this takes the further behind we are when the new manager comes in if they want to change the tactics at all and they haven't had chance to train in it.
Brooksy Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Can see us going down. If it's Lennon we'll be down by Christmas
stillwater Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 I've always said that Shakey did most of the work, look at our promotion season NP sat in the stands out of the way and left it to Shakey to be on the touch line, maybe we should just go with Shakey for the start of the season and not rush into things
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Can see us going down. On what basis? We don't even know who's coming in yet! Get a grip lad. If it's Lennon we'll be down by Christmas Ditto
