Dickov22 Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Trouble is he's mistaking our support of him to be special treatment. We support him because he wears the famous blue and white. If he wants special treatment then he has to take the chances he's given. He hasn't had any chances. Strikers need a run of games. Take Ulloa and Vardy for example last season- only started to hit form once they got a regular run of games. At this level it's impossible to be brilliant when you get the odd cup game and 5 minute substitute appearance every so often. I feel sorry for him.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 He needs to bag against Hull or he's off. He could realistically go a year at the club without scoring a goal that made an impact on a game which would be a real shame.

Finn Claw II Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Loan him to Bournemouth in Jan, they need a striker! He got 12 mins vs Arsenal in the PL, 82 mins vs West Ham and 65 mins vs Bury. Less than two games in playing time. Last season when he was playing the whole team was rubbish. I honestly couldn't tell you if he is a dud or not. Don't mind the interview, apart from talking out Claudio, lost in translation or not you shouldn't say anything that could be seen as negative about the manager.

I feel sorry for him.The end of the day if he doesn't try those stupid chips he'd probably have 3 goals this season and would have gave ranieri something to think about.... as it stands he doesn't offer the work rate of vardy or okazaki, doesn't have the pace to fit in with our counter attacking game and doesn't have the arial threat for a plan b that ulloa offers, so unless he uses the one thing he's supposed to have going for him that being a clinical finish (haven't seen it personally) then how can he expect to even get a sniff. As for dodoo getting ahead of him I'm sure that was mainly down to the fact that he's been played on the wing another thing kramaric couldn't do
psychonaut Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 I dont blame him for being a little frustrated! He sacked off chelsea so he could play more first team football! Nobody is guaranteed anything in football but he's hardly been given a chance - and by a chance i mean shown some support and patience with a decent run of games. He'll leave and more than likely score a shit load of goals for someone else
Stevosevic Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Pearson didn't give him much of a chance either. He played him upfront on his own January-February, away from home in that 5-4-1 formation, but then when it came to home games in the 3-4-3 where he would get plenty of support, he was on the bench (Swansea game aside)

People have moaned about Dodoo being on the bench instead... The lad has taken his chances, including a hattrick, that deserves recognition. If it had been Kramaric scoring the hattrick he also would have deserved it, but he didn't and has been upstaged by a kid. You don't just play people to "see what they can do", they need to earn it and force their way into the team. Currently Ulloa is far more deserving of a start out of the two as he's really added something to the team when coming on and he's making a case for himself. Kramaric has had the chance to make a case and sadly fluffed two or three chances. If he had buried them, then it's a different story.
Silverdaz Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 I get the feeling if NP had still been here he would of been a regular
Babylon Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 I get the feeling if NP had still been here he would of been a regularConsidering we wanted Okazaki under Pearson as well I wouldn't be so sure. Kramaric was regularly overlooked by NP as well.

Yes he's had limited game time, but you still have to do more with the time you get than he has. Its not even as though he hasnt had any opportunities for goals. Every time he's played, guilt edge chances have been carved open for him and he keeps missing. We need to see more justification for the price tag.
ealingfox Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Loan him to Bournemouth in Jan, they need a striker! Good shout.

We need to see more justification for the price tag. I have some sympathy with him, it's not easy. But he needs to realise his own faults also in why he's currently not starting. If he had slotted that one home against West Ham it would have been an outstanding goal. But the way he missed it was horrific! His comments are disappointing as he's ridding himself of any blame. Of course Ranieri is concentrating on defence, because we've been terrible. Of course he's not too concerned in attack, because we've been bloody good going forward.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 How dare he be frustrated with not playing? How dare he be disillusioned after moving countries and the manager who signed him leaves and then he doesn't even get on the bench at times. I'd be pissed off too, whether it's right or wrong. I personally think he could still succeed here but it's in the balance right now. He believes in himself but we've heard about how his confidence took a battering at Zagreb when he wasn't playin much an he hit struggled to make an impact. I hope he's given some more chances because I'm not that enamoured with Okazaki at the minute who could quite easily find himself in the position Kramaric is in. Both haven't hit the ground running with us and although it's early days I think one player is getting way more favorable treatment than the other. I disagree with that, Okazaki certainly hit the ground running, his first few appearances for us were very good. His display away at Wham was incredible. Granted he's not hit the net recently, but he brings more to the game. His tackle 30 yards from our goal which led to our second v Norwich is typical of the way we play, our strikers defending from the front. I don't think this is something that Kramaric would bring. I really hope he gets his chance and takes it, but so far i'm not really that impressed with him.
Countryfox Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Headline in todays Mercury : "City Boss happy with quality of strikers at club" .... and at the end of the day it's down to him who plays. But ... a) Is that a "comforting" arm round Krams shoulders after his comments, and b) Don't believe everything you read in the papers ! ...
Callabinho Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Happy to see him leave its just one that hasn't worked out, we would be better with someone who adds something to the squad. He's not fast, strong or tall. 2 out the 3 you need minimum to be a prem striker. Are you daft? He's not had a chance to show what he can do, we let him go and he will flourish. We can't just cast him a side because he hasn't set the world a light in a few twenty minute cameo appearances.

Ranieri also says (In the Mercury) that Shinji may have only chipped in with a few goals but is playing a vial role for his team ,,, When he does score a few goals he will be even more important to us and he is (imo) someone we can "give more time to"
filbertstreet Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Found the original article (in Croatian) but he sounds less bitchy and more sad http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/andreju-kramaricu-nije-lako-ubija-me-klupa-u-leicesteru-440472

We can't just cast him a side because he hasn't set the world a light in a few twenty minute cameo appearances. But he has had a chance ... albeit small ... so loan him out (not cast him aside) and see if he does flourish. But we could do with a replacement while this is happening.

(And yes I do know where he lives)

We can't just cast him a side because he hasn't set the world a light in a few twenty minute cameo appearances. And on the flip side we can't give him a run of games based on him doing very little in the chances he does get. Kante had a cameo or two and made himself indispensable. That's how most people force their way into the team.
filbertway Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 I have a feeling if he joined Chelsea he'd have never played in England. That move screamed loans to Vitesse, Italy, Spain = sell on for profit if he does well. Turns out that would have been a better career move for the guy on current evidence. He's not even been here a year yet, who knows what will happen in the next 12-18 months. If he takes one of his small chances and is rewarded with a run of starts we could probably see him make the most of his potential.

I do like the fact that Claudio isn't afraid to shake it up and give starts to players who have earned the right. You're right, he does need to give it his absolute all when a chance comes his way. There's 3 players fighting for that spot alongside Vardy and he seems to be 3rd at the minute.
NGoloMode Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 Okasaki is playing no better than Kram did when he arrived here in January. He deserves better than he's currently getting. Dodoo on the bench ahead of him was an insult. I'd be really disappointed to see him leave. Okazaki works a lot harder than Kramaric from what I've seen so I'm guessing that's the reason.
