Terrible on Sunday I thought. Partly Remembrance perhaps, and a bit of nervousness that our players weren't hoofing everything away instantly, but very tame I felt.

It especially bothers me how many of our fans left early once again. We've won only our second home league match of the season, what are you so desperate to get home to on a Sunday evening? I just don't get it.

Totally. Real pet hate that's spreading all over. It starts a rush too like there's something better going on outside!

Atmosphere today? Any good?

I heard the Iborra chant from the Boothern End, which ends on the lines on "to live on Saffron Lane", in particular.

Had to chuckle a bit as some lady asked "What's Saffron Lane?", and some guy next to her said "Not sure, sounds like an area somewhere near Altrincham"...

How quiet was it today, more noise from the away fans yet again, the 2 biggest cheers today were for Esteban @ halftime and De Bruyne being subbed near the end.

I agree, it was very quiet. Obviously noise level does naturally increase when things go well on the pitch, but it’s been flat home and away for a while now.

Maybe the atmosphere lauded at the KP for a couple of years was an illusion created by success. It’s gone back to being average at best now.

And as for De Bruyne, I have never before joined in applause for an opposition player, but actually did today when he went off. They are a special team, the game had gone, and he was absolutely class yet again. The way he finds so much space is staggering, considering the pace of The PL.

Yes, we should still make more noise, but today we were just outclassed, and it’s hard to create an intense atmosphere when we fell so short. So I feel today could be excused, but quieter is certainly getting to be the norm generally.

I usually defend l1, but have to admit this season, the atmosphere has been crap in there.

Will say some games the match drains the atmosphere, but first half today was entertaining but still not good.

The fantastic atmosphere of the great escape and the amazing CHAMPIONS of England season with the exception of the champions League games have been something we haven't been near over the last 2 seasons. That atmosphere really does get the players buzzing and sets the tempo of the games. Players feed off the energy and it drives them to run that extra 10% longer and faster. Let's get back to the days where the atmosphere was praised in newspapers and on TV and set the tempo of what we expect from the 11 on the pitch again!!!!

The songbook is a tradegy at the minute.

Most of our most popular chants over the last couple of years related to winning the league, heading to/being in Europe and Ranieri. We can't sing any of them now.

You then have those who want to start the new chants wanting them to be European in style which isn't conducive to large numbers joining in...

Thought Man City fans were good today. Quite a few unique chants for their individual players whereas when we make chants for players people would rather go for joke chants (ala the Silva and Iborra ones) rather than just taking a well known song and working with it.

The massive comedown from the last couple of years is then just the cherry on the cake.

Half of sk1 was in bochum today. But maybe if we had a fan base that gave a shit.

Walking off the train today I was surrounded by lads. Mainly old boys that have followed their club for years. We have become a family club. And whilst I take my lad and that's a good think from my point of view approaching 40. It's not exactly conducive to out singing 3000 lads is it. I'll say it again look at our away end at stoke. Compared to what, city, Utd, West ham even swansea bring.

Why do you think several of our fan base are heading to Germany on a regular basis?

Our club has become the flag ship of a family club. News flash. Old dears. Posh parents with kids don't make a racket.

So true, you look at away ends like spurs, united, Millwall etc they are full of 16-40 year olds! Compare that with ours and we are at the other end of the scale.

The older supporters obviously follow us up and down the country so have every right to be there but we are much more of a family club than some of the others in our league.

Sorry to say any atmosphere we did have has gone and will never return until the club re-invents itself by getting relegated and spends a few years back in the championship.  SK1 the away fans can never hear you. L block has now gone and the 100 or so fans that used to stand at the back of the family stand in P block near the away fans has reduced to about 15 - I am one of the 15.

Football has changed let's face it.

Our fans generally are no different to most. If the game is close or we're in with a chance we get right behind the team. When the game has drifted, like today, the crowd is flat. I would love it to be a lively, involved crowd at all times but the state of the match dictates the crowd in this country, whether we like it or not.

Of course the demographic has changed and the clappers are often a hindrance but the atmosphere will tend to go with play and we were well out of it long before the end.
