Me first memory is probably the tannoy announcer telling us to keep our ticket stubs for a chance of getting playoff final tickets in 96.

Getting locked out of the Burnley game last day of the season in 1983, 30000 inside Filbert Street and me and my dad stuck outside until a bloke came up and gave us 2 tickets for the DD stand and took a quid for them. I was 9 at the time and was taken in through the reception area and the doors and gates were all opened for us.Cant remember much more but had jelly legs from all the excitement.

September 1979 V. West Ham, we sat in the upper tier of the DD - I was 6 and really couldn't see too much. We lost 2.0, a goal in each half..... Like others have said that heady comb of onions, burgers and ciggies!

My first Leicester game was away to Notts County in the 90-91 season. I think Rooster Russell scored and maybe Mills? My dad got a job in construction south of London, so we left Leicester when I was two. I went to this game as a 6-year-old, undecided whether I should follow United, like my dad, or Leicester - like my cousin who took me to the game. At then end of the 90 minutes, with a Leicester shirt thrown into the bargain, my decision was made!

This will age me, but the first match I was taken to was because Stanley Matthews was playing; Forest v Blackpool. I was 4, and my Dad wanted me to be able to say I'd seen SM playing.  Apparently I was more interested in the trains you could see passing the ground.   Other than that it was 1966 at Filbo v West Ham, 5-4, just after the World Cup win.

What a player Stanley Matthews was, I remember seeing him turn out for Stoke at Filbert Street when he was 50 years old, and still had an impact on the game. I wonder how much would have been paid for him on "todays rate"  transfer market.

Wolves 0-0 would have been late 80's, my first game.

Earliest memories now are Newcastle at home with the fighting on the pitch and the Cambridge 5-0 play off - you couldn't have seen the latter without falling in love with the club.

My first ever match was Grimsby Town away in December 1995. It was one of MON first matches for the club. We were 2-0 down drew 2-2. I think Colin Hill scored one of the goals!

googled it and it was Iwan Roberts and Walshy who scored!

First game was 5-0 loss to Bolton. The era I really started getting into it.

Wanted to go at halftime and ended watching TV during 2nd half whilst eating steak and chip sandwiches. lol

Can someone help me remember who my first game was against? it was one of the first games in what was then the Walkers stadium and i know it was either Brighton or Rotherham. There was celebrations after it because we had gained promotion to the premier league and I remember Micky Adams going around and thanking the fans.

I do remember my second game though which was against Barcelona in a pre-season friendly! We lost 1-0 but that was a pretty decent result considering the opposition. Ronaldinho was also playing and it was a terrible beige kit they had.

That would be Brighton mate, I was there too - '03 in the Fam stand with my Gramps and Gran, got a half season ticket and remember thumping what was left of Wimbledon, the Grimsby match where I think Muzzy scored and Paul bloody Merson pinging one in off the post to equalise for Pompy one night. Decent tbh

The first game I went to was sat up high in the main stand (the old main stand) at Filbert Street.

I was lucky..It was the afternoon Andy Peake scored his goal of the season against the mighty Liverpool.

I was hooked....

This was one of the first games I went to. Might be getting my games mixed up but I remember Peakes screamer was in a night match 3-3 game v Liverpool that nearly uprooted the net - I was sat in the Double Decker with my Dad. About 26,000 that night and it was packed to the rafters. My very first game was v Newcastle at home in Nov '82. We drew 2-2 and Lineker got both ours and Keegan got both of theirs. Block 'J' of the old main stand. Still got the programme!

Sometime in the 80s, sitting on the big blue wooden box thing at the front of the kop. Anyone else remember that?

The police horses and masses of people channelled through small streets.

It was quite intimidating for a 7 or 8 year old.

Notes county in the 92-93 season. Think we won 3-2 but I don't recall much. The first game I proper remember is that Luton game when coats worth scored that screamer.

About 1957. My uncle, who was a knitter at Corah's, took me along to a reserves game.  Can't remember too much about it (I was about 9) but I do remember being scared to go through the Boy's entrance on my own, and having to wait inside amongst the crowd until he got through his gate and joined me.  After that, I began to go on my own, and remember the likes of Dave McLaren, Howard Riley et al.

In those days they played the post horn gallup as the team came on the pitch!
