SecretPro Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 If we played counter football and let them come at us, we'd be in trouble. We are in trouble. We are losing 1-0 and look like sunday league.
tom27111 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Mahrez was offside. Get over it. A few years ago, he was on, because there wasn't daylight. But now, any part of your body that you can score with, is counted as off.
Benji Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 We need a substitution but not the one's mentioned. Commeth the time, commeth the man...
BlueSi13 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Not gonna qualify for champions league like this!! Higuain will never sign for us now
Kitchandro Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 It's worked because the oppositions are set up differently. Sunderland came to draw and set up with one up front. We'd win every week if every opposition played like this. It's got nothing to do with the opposition, it's about what's best for us. Regardless of who we're playing, the same principles of two up front, pressing and attacking with pace will give us the best chance of winning. If we're worried defensively - why not drop the weak link (De Laet) and set up with the 3 centre backs that worked so well at the end of last season? Or is that too much common sense?
HitchinFox Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 They are completely bossing central midfield and we have 3 players there. Eh? They're not bossing it - they're going around it! Everything's down the wings...?!
dmayne7 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Drinky has been dump. Get Inler on to calm things and push Kingy further forward
danfox76 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Don't know why we are singling out De Laet. He's not played any worse than any of our other players. We played worse than Sunderland did in that first half back at our place. might be because he's strolling around like he got plenty off time and has been caught out of position to many times... he need to wake up or get the fook off the pitch
Foxhateram Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 It's not the formation though, its everything. Most of the team are having a stinker. Not an ounce of attacking intent, its as dreadful as anything last season. If we don't go 4-4-2 at half time in turning it off. King, drinkwater, mahrez, de laet should be ashamed as should raneiri. After the first three games the whole tactic has changed to defend. Vardy up top alone will never ever work. They are having a stinker because this formation doesn't work for us! De leat is left exposed with two rapid players in grades and Daniels, the midfield gets over run with too many players (in some cases our own players are in the way! I.e. Kante in drinks way earlier), vardy has no support what so ever and is winning no headers against some decent cbs. All that leads to, is hoof and watch the attackers come at you over and over again. Poor formation, poor decision making, poor performance. Change it now!
Bettsj2 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Because it means we're still in the match. 2-0 and it's pretty much game over away from home most of the time. The context in which people are saying it is as if we should be more than 1 down, which isnt the case.
lgfualol Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Not able to watch today? How are we doing other than losing
fridoux Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 need ulloa in this gane. cant play our football, have to adapt and back to championship style
cityfanlee23 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Our game was always letting teams come forward then driving back at them - we did that with sunderland, we let them bring it forward then hit them. We play best on the counter, have done for at least 2 years - bournemouth play in a way that makes them vulnerable to counters at pace - like the ones we were playing. It's a bottle job to abandon the counter attacking football, pure and simple. I'd argue against that.... what was the half time score? we attacked them, then they came back at us.
Izzy Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 It's half time lads and lassies. We are a single goal down to a side who many had written off before a ball had been kicked in anger. A side who, to stay in the division, needed to win games at home. We've seen we can score goals so start believing. If we lose this game, we lose it. It's not the end of the world. You wouldn't believe we're still 2nd in the league 'as it stands' would you!
EGBFitness Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 They are completely bossing central midfield and we have 3 players there. Dude seriously, are you watching the whole game? It's not just central midfield. Until you see the formation isn't working (that doesn't mean put more CMs on too) then the sooner you will see that we will look a stronger team
fridoux Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Not able to watch today? How are we doing other than losing no link in midfield, too many lonfg balls, total control by bournmouth.
tom27111 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Not able to watch today? How are we doing other than losing Shite. And that's the positive spin on it.
Master Fox Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 I don't think we're as good as we think we are. We're definitely in a relgation battle this season.
STUHILL Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 3-5-2 IMO. De Laet and Drinky for Ben and Shinji. I think this is our only option as DeLaet has been woeful and will get sent off at this rate. Benny though against Gradel Have to try something as that first half was awful Shinji comes on no matter what. That's a no brainer!
Will1981 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Haha yer lets put a slow CB who is known for making rash decisions in at rb with a ref that is trigger happy with his cards. That was crap! That formation does not work for us, we have been here before. Why are we adapting our game for another team? We should be playing our system, our way and hitting them hard with pace. He better change this at half time, and learn from your mistake! Don't tinker with a successful team! no RB in 3-4-1-2
Fox92 Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 It's got nothing to do with the opposition, it's about what's best for us. Regardless of who we're playing, the same principles of two up front, pressing and attacking with pace will give us the best chance of winning. If we're worried defensively - why not drop the weak link (De Laet) and set up with the 3 centre backs that worked so well at the end of last season? Or is that too much common sense? I agree two up front but I can see why he's gone with 5. We're not going to score with one up front, just like last season, it's pointless. Especially when it's Vardy, he's not exactly a target man and cannot hold the ball up. De Laet is a weak link but he needs Albrighton in front of him, not Mahrez. Mahrez might be this and that going forward but defensively he's shite and it's pointless.
filbertstreet Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Not able to watch today? How are we doing other than losing we're doing great, no complaints here and de laet is playing brilliantly as usual
SecretPro Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Not able to watch today? How are we doing other than losing Terrible in all honesty.
