This is not how to play the attacking style that has served us so well. Bizarre decision to have the 5 in midfield, also not to tinker when it's gone SO badly for De Laet who has been truly terrible. He can't be left exposed with only a defensively weak Mahrez to assist.

Even though we were up against it nearly all game against spurs and arguably could have just have easily got hammered than snuck a win... Clearly it wasnt a "winning" formation against spurs.... It was against sunderland who are terrible, and we were lucky to get away from west ham without conceding more. Bournemouth are a different team and we have tried a different formation with 3 in the centre, it's not worked... so let's change it... Not "It's not worked lets all slag the manager" You'll soon be calling for him to tinker when we go 2-0 down playing a 442 wont you?

The Doctor Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Fvck me some of these comments. It was obvious he would change it. Bournemouth are very open; they aren't like the other teams we've played. Winning the ball back and hitting them on the counter is the way most teams will approach Bournemouth away. Which is why we needed more than one attacker, we've played counter football all season with the 4-4-2 and it works, because we've got bodies going forward to aim for rather than isolating Vardy. He shouldn't have changed it, we were playing perfectly for against bournemouth, but he's bottled it because he was so desperate for a clean sheet, but 0-0 is not better than 3-2.

Not an ounce of attacking intent, its as dreadful as anything last season. If we don't go 4-4-2 at half time in turning it off. King, drinkwater, mahrez, de laet should be ashamed as should raneiri. After the first three games the whole tactic has changed to defend. Vardy up top alone will never ever work.
