A side who, to stay in the division, needed to win games at home. We've seen we can score goals so start believing. If we lose this game, we lose it. It's not the end of the world. But we've not shown we can score goals with this sort of formation. We showed Jan-March last season that when we put 1 up top we are toothless - the Hull game was clear evidence of that, where with a man advantage we still never remotely threatened. We can score, but we have to attack, and to do that we need to have more than 1 striker on. Mahrez off. Daft, pull one of the CMs and go 4-4-2 rather than putting a CM out of position.

But now, any part of your body that you can score with, is counted as off. Their defenders back foot looked to play him onside for me. Only got one view of it mind.

deep blue Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Poor individual performances all over the pitch particularly RDL and the midfield, who are hiding. Worst moment was Wes Morgan breaking from defence and looking for a pass and none of the midfielders made themselves available, leaving Wes to dribble 20 yards. Drinkwater, King and Kante need a Ranieri rocket buried in their backsides, because that was shameful from all three of them. I am having to follow the match through Stringer. He reckons Vardyis isolated. That implies our midfield is not playing intelligently. With 5 in there, there should be outlets when our defence tries to clear.

Until you see the formation isn't working (that doesn't mean put more CMs on too) then the sooner you will see that we will look a stronger team Dude, Seriously, did you even read what it was in reply to?.. But mahrez had his upper body on the wrong side of the defender. Clearly off. His legs were on, the rest of him wasn't. By the letter of the law, that's offside.
AKCJ Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Bad half. Not sure about all the 'relieved its only 1-0'. Has Kasper had loads of saves to make whilst my stream is buffering? Bournemouth play some nice stuff but overall the game has been pretty terrible. Bournemouth have had their foot on our throats all game and they really should have pressed harder.
