De Laet played as part of the back 3 at the end last season and looked decent so it's not even that, could change it without actually changing players

Simple turns, simple runs and he just stops and watches. He is beyond garbage. However I think Ranier's influence is showing. We've lost our drive and pace. We'll drop like a stone if we adopt this approach.

Classy players who have a mountain time in Italy DON'T in the Premiership. They get over-run by younger, quicker legs. I can't recollect us being torn open like this for a long time and it's a good job Villa have been poor in the final third cos this could have been game over already. Either bring King or Kante on for Inler OR get an extra man in that midfield to give him time to do his stuff.
