whoareyaaa Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Drinkwater was the only player to turn up in the first half and should have been awarded man of the match, a brilliant performance. Kante is a different class said it from the first time he came on and will be the talk of the prem come the end of the season, all over the place and intercepts everything and knows how to pick a pass loving him!! Inler wasn't great maybe a bit rusty, class player though so we don't have to worry just wasn't suited for todays game. De laet shocking if we want to stop leaking goals then he has to either step up his game or be replaced, hes not shit but makes so many errors. Marhez different class as usual and the manager knows what to do with him unlike Pearson, a player like Marhez has to stay on the pitch all game Pearson couldn't handle it and when he went in the middle Villa had no clue and it showed in the end with the two assists. Dyer was class when he came on and another good signing. All in all what a ****ing win and what a team we have.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Leicester subs were fantastic, dyer was great, ulloa was brilliant, kante won it for us!!! wes was man of the match! such a hero todayIf anyone needs me im in bed having a nap, this club will be the death of me you blue and white bastards! I love you all
promised land Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Had to laugh outside afterwards, near away corner, some villa fan with tuff stickers all around his neck giving it the big come on to some City fans while stood next to plod. Do they really get off on this shite? School ground stuff thinking they're so hard. Idiots.
JamesWelshFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Talk about never say die, what a team !!!!! Bit my finger nails up to the elbow ! Inler though looked well off the pace. He showed touches of class but he also gave the ball away quite a bit and has clearly not adjusted yet to the pace of the game here. Question - do you start him ahead of Andy King at Stoke ? of Kante who gave us bundles of energy and a bit if bite when he came on ? King played twice for Wales over the break, but for that he might have started today. I would at present play King. We will need all our CM though at some point this season. DD seems to have adjusted this season and that is a major plus for us. Pleased for Leo when he came on. All those who reckon we can do without him think again. He helped change the shape of the game today and offers us something different when we need it. And Credit Claudio, saw we needed to change tack and so we did. Think we are in safe hands. Onwards and upwards - now that would be something !
Webbo Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I was glad when Leo came on as well. It seemed like he was being edged out of the club, good to see CR still sees him as part of the team.
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Even Sunderland fans are struggling to bitch about us .... in their 100th Leicester thread of the season http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/leicester-city.1132910/page-1
Jackster21 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Good comeback from the lads. How ever we can't let in stupid goals like that, in the future it will cost us. Dyer is only 5'4 and still managed to beat Guzan to the ball with the header.
HitchinFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Food for thought is that we now have 11 points off just five games. Last year, it took until 28 December for us to gain our 11th point (we had 10 points going into that Hull game away, which we won). I'm personally still looking at results like Sunderland - Spurs 0-1 and thinking "great, Sunderland are one of the three that will definitely be worse than we are" – but the question is, how long until we can start realistically looking at a midtable finish, rather than fearing relegation? We need 38-40 points to be safe, so until we hit that mark?
EnglishOxide Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Where are those **** journalists who predicted 20th for us now?
purpleronnie Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Where are those **** journalists who predicted 20th for us now? remember what happend last year around this time with a much harder start, let's not get over confident.
sdb Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Loved that. 1st half was the worst we've been since those dark winter days that seem so long ago. Players looked so jaded. 2nd half we were brilliant. All 3 subs did their bit but the whole side raised their game eventually. Morgan, Mahrez and Drinkwater were the best of the bunch. Gutted for Sherwood!!
iamafox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 The one thing you can't deny is that we have a strong team spirit. Sensational comeback.
weller54 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 We're 9 points clear of the relegation places.... That sounds awesome!
EnglishOxide Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 remember what happend last year around this time with a much harder start, let's not get over confident. I'm not. But anybody with a brain knew we are better than 20th. It was an insult to us and to Ranieri so **** 'em.
Izzy Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I have a confession to make, I lost the faith After Villa's second goal I lost the faith. I believed we would lose. I must repent and beg forgiveness for my sin. Fair play to you mate for coming on and saying this. It'd be nice if some posters from the match day thread would also do the same for some of the outrageous comments they made about CR and the team when we were 2-0 down.
Dan Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Absolutely amazing how you can play that badly for over two thirds of the game and still come back from two down to win it. The character in this team is as good as anyone in the league and that's what sets us apart from so many teams. Mahrez took the piss again. Kante & Dyer both excellent when they came on. There's a lot to work on, but you can't not love games like today. They're why we go.
Max Power Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 We're going to look back and laugh at the few games when Kante wasn't starting. Great impact. Dyer as well tbf. Love this team.
MaxLERenard Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I have a confession to make, I lost the faith After Villa's second goal I lost the faith. I believed we would lose. I must repent and beg forgiveness for my sin. Mrs R "is that it then, have you lost?" "nope, we have to give them a 2 goal lead to make us play" "oh it's 2-1, will you do it?" "of course, there're still 20 minutes left!" "did you just score again?!" "yes it's 2-2, only 10 minutes to go, not sure we'll make it 4-2 now :("
Finnaldo Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 remember what happend last year around this time with a much harder start, let's not get over confident. Today had potential to be our Palace but we managed to pick it up and turn it round. Since our first few games in the Prem we've became a lot more tactically saavy since then, our subs are a lot more decisive and our never-say-die attitude have only got stronger. I personally can't see another collapse like last year.
LCCFox96 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Massive 3 points earned through a comeback that defines this teams character. That gives us a 9 point lead over the relegation placed sides and a 7 point lead over Villa already. Today's performance wasn't the best for long periods but the final 35 minutes or so we looked pretty unstoppable. I'd argue we were already getting on top when Gil scored but even that didn't deter the momentum in our fightback. Drinkwater was class today, absolutely class. Vardy and Wes also put in big performances in the spine of the team. Dyer and Kante (he looks one hell of a player) were superb in the 2nd half and that with De Laet, Mahrez and Schlupp coming onto their game meant we were firing on all cylinders heading into the final 20mins. Ulloa was also positive today and think he deserves to start vs Stoke, as does Kante.
katieakita Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Good, good times to be a Leicester fan so lets enjoy and accept we can actually play a bit. Also on a positive some Villa fans are calling for Capt Bellend to go
ARM1968 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Kante was different class when he came on. Literally destroyed Villa's grip on midfield and increased the tempo. Once we got going we were immense. Inler showed flashes of quality but misolaced too many passes and looked a yard off. Slowed things down when he should have pushed us on. See if he improves. The fight back should give fans and players alike a real boost. They can compete against most anyone playing like they did in the last 25.
FrankieADZ Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 has anyone got the full match highlights from sky?
Guest ttfn Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 First game I've missed this season (I'm in South Africa) and what a game to miss! Was getting goal updates on safari. I'm not sure if that's a humblebrag because I think many would rather have been at the King Power today! Great result, sounds like Claudio had a stormer second half. Now to find some highlights...
