filbertstreet Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 You spelt detestable wrong. I really like watching him lose
Babylon Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I really like watching him lose Yesterday felt so much sweeter with it being him we were beating, oh and the fact the Villa fans were giving it large and getting well ahead of themselves.
kingcarr21 Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Sherwood is a likeable bloke, and it's understandable why the media took to him as he normally comes across very well and gives them what they want. But he was massively out of his depth here. If he thinks that a 2-0 lead with half an hour to go is "game won" then he knows less about football than my seven year old son. Any other team leading away from home in this situation tends to shut up shop. We saw it last season from Stoke and Palace to name a couple. They were crying out for an extra midfielder, especially after Kante came on. The Villa fans aren't wrong - this defeat was a product of their manager's poor judgement. Exactly. 2-0 up away from home shore up the midfield/defence and keep the ball. Taking Gil off due to injury fair enough but replace him with a like for like. Then take off Gabby for Clark or Hutton. Very naive from Sherwood who i dont see as a likeable bloke at all. How he can slate his players with individual errors and put all the blame on them is shameful. Everybody else can see it was his tactical decisions that cost them the game. He should accept HE got it wrong and give Leicester some credit. A player who i expected to give us trouble was Sinclair. He was completely non existant in the 2nd half. Yesterday felt so much sweeter with it being him we were beating, oh and the fact the Villa fans were giving it large and getting well ahead of themselves. The fact they were giving out the Oles aswel before being made to look stupid was my highlight of the whole game
filbertway Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 The ref was gash for both teams. Didn't give free kicks that should have been and gave free kicks for nothing on both sides.
Webbo Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 After just watching a full replay, it's striking how different it is watching on the telly and being there. It seems I was a bit harsh on Mahrez and Kante didn't really stand out on the box like he did in the ground.
MC Prussian Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Funniest comment I saw was someone saying he looked like a retarded Jeremy Kyle Babs, you've been on the Oatcake Forum for too long again.
Dan Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I think that's exceptionally harsh and unfair on Pearson. Remember United? Over the years under Pearson we've always battled to the end, we also have an excellent second half record under him compared to the first... so he was doing something right tactically to change the game, despite the odd abomination of a substitution. Ranieri's substitutions so far have been faultless, but there is no reason to run Pearson down whilst praising Ranieri. On the flip side as well who's to say we'd have been 0-2 down under Pearson? It's all hypothetical and petty points scoring.
Finnegan Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Funniest comment I saw was someone saying he looked like a retarded Jeremy Kyle Funnily enough that's exactly what my missus said when I put match of the day on yesterday.
Jimothy Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 What's the hate with Sherwood? Sounds like he's killed someone with some of the views on him. For me it because not only does he come across as a bit of a twat, it's also the media love in for him despite the fact he's achieved **** all yet as a manager and doesn't even look like he's going to grow into a decent on in the future. Much like Harry Kane the media seem to be building him up into the next big thing before he's even had one full decent season.
Carl the Llama Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Funniest comment I saw was someone saying he looked like a retarded Jeremy Kyle Someone somewhere said something along the lines of "Villa conceded 3 goals after Sherwood told them to run around in circles". Close the caption competition we have a winner
st albans fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I think he meant that 2 up after 60 mins means the game should be won. Top wasn't there again yesterday and vichai never made it out from the directors lounge for the second half. Assume he must have felt unwell.
Freesolo Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Is it just me or does their keeper look like he has put on a bit of timber?
goose2010 Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 whilst looking at the villa website which makes for some great reading I did stumble across highlights / extended highlights and the full match http://www.villatalk.com/topic/13943-highlights/
kingcarr21 Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Agbonlahor looks like he has taken a shadow punch to the face

Wymsey Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 who did the helicopter pickup after the game whilst the pundits were watching on sky ?? Maybe Claudio, as he lives in London?
Babylon Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Maybe Claudio, as he lives in London? Thought Ranieri has stated he lives in Leicester. He said he told his Mrs they could live in London and he'd commute as they have property already there, and it's only an hour on the train. But she said they should live here and travel to London when they want to go there.
oli fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Maybe Claudio, as he lives in London? Not sure he does live in London. He was asked during his press conference this week how he was enjoying living in Leicester etc. He said each team he manages he likes to immerse himself in the city and stay there. There was then some cheeky-chappy comments about how much he likes the food and there was a twinkle in his eye.
Out Foxed Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Claudio will not be living in London, he's been looking at places in Leicester
Wymsey Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 One of the ex-Directors mentioned yesterday that he stayed in his apartment in London, but didn't specify for how long etc.
st albans fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Maybe Claudio, as he lives in London? It landed during the prog. When we left the stadium at about 5-30 it was still in the centre circle. Vichai was there so i assume it came to pick him up. Just a shame that he missed being on the front row for that last twenty mins Anyone know if top makes away games? Seems strange he has missed two consec home games.

Just watched the second half again whilst doing some work and I'm buzzing again. We were awesome. Also watched post-match interviews... I love Mahrez and love Dyer already. We're a force to be reckoned with. This ****ing club!
SpacedX Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Yesterday was the best that I've seen Wes play in the Premiership...ever. Since March the guy has been impregnable - an inspiration. Although I've long questioned the legitimacy of his captaincy, I was wrong. A great asset and a credit to this club. Magnificent.

I'm sure I had read that there is quota for the amount of time that the Thais are allowed in the country during a year so have to pick and choose certain games.
