mahrez's run for our second goal was a piece of absolute art. sensational.

also you can always tell schlupp is our quickest player cos he is always first one to celebrate with the scorer when we score. literally every time. doesn't matter who scores or where they celebrate he's always first there.

Because he's shit but the media can't help but bum him off every five seconds. It's not even his fault tbh, they've built him up to be some sort of saviour and he's crap.

To be fair, his post-match interview made him sound like some clueless fan, 'one of the lads' down the pub, not the manager of a football team. If that's how he talks to his players they don't stand a chance in hell.

Tried a big slide tackle on Vardy after the equaliser. Classic Jeff, love him

What's the hate with Sherwood?

Sounds like he's killed someone with some of the views on him.

Not sure if we'd have won that with Pearson in charge. Absolutely brilliant management by Ranieri, really really really like the bloke. Special shout outs to Morgan and Drinkwater, despite the fact we're trying to move onto the 'next level' our boys that got us here are forcing CR to pick them still!

Inler was superb at winning the ball back, looks very strong and experienced. just a bit slack with the ball, but don't think he's entirely match fit so would be ridiculous to write him off.

Mahrez is just sublime, but like others have said, he will lose the ball and be a slightly liability but that is part and parcel of the magic he produces. Love Vardy, love this team

We won is last year with Konchesky in the team (he scored the winner!)

Also, lay off big Tim- he's alright at least he's got some personality

Sherwood subs were dreadful

Claudio's were fantastic . That was the difference

What is fantastic is how we have a deep bench now, as opposed to last season. Our subs are talented.

For me Sherwood is completely out of his depth. His post match interview was totally embarrassing. As a manager it's always crucial to keep perspective. Hate the fact people are comparing him to Nige. There's no way that Nige would have come across as so depressed after a defeat. Sends out such a bad message to the team.

Match thread on the VIlla forum is comedy gold, I especially like this offering:

What a load of **** shit. Everyone knew what was going to happen within the first 5 minutes of the second half.

Shit team

Shit performance

Shit transfer window

Shit manager

Can't help but wonder, after everything that happened and as the third goal went in, there was a certain jordan Veretout sitting on the villa bench thinking to himself "you daft twát, picked the wrong bloody team"

Drinkwater was immense today. Pinged a couple of excellent crossfield balls and was in the middle of all of our good moves. I thought Morgan had one of his best games too, dealt with their forwrds far better than Huth did. Kante is a must-start against Stoke, I haven't seen a player break up so many opposition moves since Lennon.

I was surprised Mahrez got so much praise again, from where we were sitting he just seemed to be taking one touch extra all the time and wasn't as effective but maybe expectations are higher after his good start.
